I've been noticing that teachings of Ahlulbayt (a) are more beneficial when doing ziyarat to them before and after.
For example if you would read Misbah Al-Shariah by Imam Jaffar (a), it's a good idea before reading to do ziyarat of him before and after.
If you are going to recite a prayer from Saheefa Sajjadiya, to visit Imam Sajjad (a) before and after.
I believe it's because God helps through Ahlulbayt (a) in this case and this makes the prayers or teachings taught by them more powerful.
