Is it really the other person's worries, though?
Or is it more that person's own projection because he wants to be "honorable"?
This can be hard to discern when one is trying too hard.
Depends on what that person tells the other eh? People like to share thier worries with me. So that doesn't seem like projection.
I'm worried that you might try to steal my worries.

I read your OP and immediately thought, "That's the story of my life." Sometimes I wish I could turn it off, but there isn't an off switch.
Same. I have that same issue. I'm really "spun up" by others emotions. I e known I was an empath since I was a teenager.
