Such events are sometimes held in private facilities by invitation only or having some other restrictions.

BTW, did you complain when Trump & Co banned some specific reporters at the daily press conference? :p

I wasn't complaining but wondering if it is a sign of things to come.

Remember back in 1993, was this a forerunner of the backlash that we see today?

So, she is a New York Politician who was working as a Bartender a year ago? Sorry for my ignorance, I thought this was in Venezuela.

She's also a graduate of Boston University in Economics and International Relations. She is a Socialist. I wonder what the effect of that will be? I understand that Bernie is too.

I think you have it right... but I won't stand in her corner. Have extended family in Venezuela...it looks beautiful but it's the snake bite that kills.

Getting away from the right wing propaganda network known as "Fox", I found this explanation.

But when Ocasio-Cortez returned to the district for a Bronx community meeting with prominent healthcare activist Ady Barkan last Tuesday, her campaign manager, Vigie Ramos Rios, later told the Chronicle, she was “mobbed” by reporters, “even though we said no Q&A and no one-on-one [interviews].”


According to Ramos Rios and campaign spokesman Corbin Trent, that unwanted attention led to a press ban both for last Wednesday’s listening tour stop in the Bronx and Sunday’s in Corona.


“We wanted to help create a space where community members felt comfortable and open to express themselves without the distraction of cameras and press. These were the first set of events where the press has been excluded,” Trent said. “This is an outlier and will not be the norm. We’re still adjusting our logistics to fit Alexandria’s national profile.”

The banks are just asking to be robbed by collecting large sums of paper money in one place when so many people are in need of cash So, really, it's their own fault when some so-called "criminal" comes along and takes it from them.
