I dislike the flavour, and have never related to fake meat, or lab meat. Give me a turnip, a fresh carrot, fresh basil, almonds, a fresh orange etc ... all 8 days of the week.

A small minority, and anyway, farms and abbatoirs are regularly visited (in the UK) by vets. And no doubt they comply with the laws generally. The laws permit the conditions that exist.
Free range? Joke.
Organic? The vet told me some of the worst places he visited were registered organic farms. Legal, mind.
