Nice statue of a Marxist.

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
How do we know she's a marxist?
Maybe because the co-founder is an admitted Marxist? Not to mention the notable parallels of the movement that coincide with past Marxist revolutionaries.

Of course I entertain the idea maybe its a racist black power salute.

What do you think ? She's just waving hi to people?

The co-founder of what?

And to those with a McCarthy mindset, everyone is a communist even if they're not party members. Guilt by association is a classic propaganda technique that is being employed today.

We can't presume that because a co-founder is
a marxist that everyone in the movement is too.

Another bit of info

The installed sculpture, A Surge of Power (Jen Reid) 2020, is not-for-profit. If sold, all profit will be donated to two charities chosen by Jen Reid, namely Cargo Classroom, a Black history syllabus created for Bristol teenagers and The Black Curriculum, a social enterprise founded in 2019 by young people to address the lack of Black British history in the UK curriculum.

A joint statement from Marc Quinn and Jen Reid

Still it's interesting as to why the Brits are so enthralled by this?
Maybe because tearing down a black slave trader statue and replacing it with one of a powerful black person isn't offensive to most people, especially in a civilised country like Great Britain where most people are, in fact, happy with the idea that we shouldn't glorify slave traders this way and are also happy to see it replaced with something that more reflects our current values.

What a damn shame.

But if shes made of wood, shes flammable, and a witch. And because of loose associations, she weighs about the same as a duck. Because she's made of wood amd can float. Burn her!
I suppose they could set her afire, & observe the results.
