Hello, all,

In light of the ongoing discussions about various aspects of the pandemic such as vaccination, medical care, and different side effects resulting from it, we have decided to treat any posts wishing ill on groups that may include RF members or any of their family and friends or gloating over their suffering (such as severe illness from COVID) as Rule 9 violations. This includes both vaccinated and unvaccinated people.

While gloating and ill-wishes targeting specific groups, whether vaccinated or unvaccinated, will now be moderated as a violation of Rule 9, this does not include statements such as "I do not empathize with vaccinated/unvaccinated people who become severely ill." It does, however, include referring to severe illness or death of any given group that includes RF members or their family/friends, such as unvaccinated people, as "natural selection" or otherwise minimizing, mocking, or gloating over it.

Please note that the staff will continue to treat misinformation about COVID-19 as well as vaccines as a violation of Rule 9. To determine whether or not a given statement is misinformation for the purpose of this policy, the staff primarily refer to the WHO and the CDC. Any statements contradicting these two organizations' stated positions on the various aspects of the pandemic will be moderated as Rule 9 violations.

If you have any questions, suggestions, or concerns, feel free to start a thread in the Site Feedback forum. Only the thread starter and the staff can view threads there.

Regards,

Debater Slayer, on behalf of the RF staff.
