New here.

Hello everyone.

I am not a religious person but I'm looking for some healthy discussion.

I am originally from the United States and an engineer by trade, but I got laid off a while back. For the past few years, I've been teaching Maths and Physics in Asia.

I like talking about philosophy, science, and current events. I also like cycling, martial arts, and classical music.

That's all for now.

Welcome to the forum @Lichtgeschwindigkeit_ . I’m going to have to just call you “Speedy”. German has never just rolled off the tongue......for anyone......ever.

Since your moniker is Germanic, have some rumballs!

and for you Asian inclinations, have some sesame balls!

Welcome!

I am also a math/physics person and engage in a lot of philosophical discussions here. Where in Asia do you teach?

Greetings!
Another engineer?
Uh oh.

But join us for the daily free lunch in the RF staff cafeteria....

It's not very healthy, but we have 3 staff members competing to be the heaviest person in history.

Edit....
Are you a real engineer or a civil engineer?

This is true.
It took me multiple tries & months of practice just to be able to say
the full name of the company that made an engine I once bought.
(They darn near ran out of room on the brass tag for the name.)
