As I said before, years ago I spent a few years doing low level "close to the metal" coding. It appears that in order to make use of an NPU you have to be willing to code in C or assembler. Possible, but not easy. I'm sure higher level tools will come along. It's possible for example that an AI tool like tensorflow is making use of NPUs if it sees one in place?
Do you think you might be using AI tools like tensorflow? If not, I'm not sure I'd pay for an NPU at this point unless you have a specific piece of existing software that you use that's making use of an NPU?
