I've noticed Muslims, whether they be from Sub Saharan Africa, the Indian subcontinent or Arabia, don't ever blame themselves for their wrongdoings.

They condemn Israel, complain about American foreign policy, say 9/11 was an inside job and say ISIL is a grand Israeli conspiracy.

I know a Turkish guy and a half Lebanese girl from my hometown who both drink alcohol and smoke

From college I know a British born Bangladeshi and British born Pakistani. The latter is part of Pakistani solidarity campaign (but drinks alcohol).

From undergraduate I know a Saudi male (anti Israel), an Omani girl (anti USA/Israel), a male from Guinea Bissau (anti USA/Israel, anti colonial), a half Lebanese half Libyan with a hijab, a British born Pakistani with a long beard, a British born Bangladeshi who wants to go on Hajj but he drinks alcohol, and another 3 British born Asians (don't know where they're from).

From postgrad I know a Sudanese male (hates America), a Bahrainian girl (quite liberal actually), a Saudi lady (hijab, pro Palestine), a Palestinian guy, a Jordanian girl, a Qatari girl (hijab), a Senegalese guy and a Malaysian with a hijab.

It's not just Muslims. Fundamentalists of any variety see their own religion/culture as representing righteousness and purity itself, and thus is beyond reproach in their minds.

It is however remarkable how intense and widespread that attitude is in Muslim communities.

What path of reasoning led to that conclusion?

Or are you just trying to instigate or pick a fight?

I've only met about 10 Muslims personally, and none of them fit this description. I guess I need to get out more. The Ismaili shopkeeper where I used to get puja supplies for home and temple always greeted me with a smile, and a discount.

Seriously? Is there any broad-brush generic group of people you don't spout bigoted contempt for?

My wife worked with a Muslim at a hotel, and she said the Muslim gave special discounted rates to other Muslims.

...My mom worked for a Muslim doctor, and he treated her horribly, and my mom was the nicest person I have ever known.

Pretty Much every Muslim I have ever met are little *****es. Sorry for being so blunt, but maybe there are some decent ones that I haven't met.

People, don't limit yourself to your own experiences. I have both good and bad experiences of certain types of people. If I was unlucky and only had the bad ones, would I be forced to be fully against those types of people? It applies to any group.

Experiences vary for sure. My first encounters were my students, all Lebanese who had been in Canada for a very long time, maybe 3 or 4 generations. Maybe they had become Canadianised, I don't know. One parent was a bit over the top, (nothing to do with Islam) but so were a ton of other parents. The TV show 'Little Mosque on the Prairie' tried to show a variety.

It all depends on how far Islam was allowed to influence a person I guess. The less devout the better.

So what you're saying here is that some Muslims may be good barbers?

An advantage (or disadvantage?) of living in SE MI is that I've never
had a bad experience with a Muslim in relation to their religion.
They're just plain folk here....except for some occasional odd garb.

You're generalizing Muslims as if all have the same exact thoughts,
you're absolutely wrong and I wonder if you met thousands of Muslims
that makes you think that Muslims have one similar thought.

Do you think 9/11 was an inside job? Just curious, thanks.

Why can't they ever blame themselves for sins committed in the name of their faith? Why always blame the Jews. Don't take my word for it- look at Pew:
