My power went out and it's too cold for my spiders. I only have electric heat.

The gas stove doesn't work , should I microwave them? (That was a joke, but I am worries).

The temperature here is 37 degrees F Saint Paul. I'm starting to get pissed.

My Columbia red leg needs better and it's going to keep getting worse.

Put a bottle or jar filled with water in the microwave. Do not screw on a top. Heat it. Now put on the top and put it in your spider's tank.

And I would put some sort of insulation around most of the tank so that too much heat does not escape. Does the tank have a thermometer?

Make sure there isn't a lot of steam before you lid the jar, don't want pressure to build up!

Use your own judgement. You have quite bit of experience. Trust yourself when it comes to the temperature. You don't want to cook your spider. Go for a happy medium.

I had a mosquito who had the habit to get into my microwave before I switched it on. Then when I switched it off and opened the door he flew out. I thought he was cuckoo, but maybe the poor little bugger was just cold. I never thought of that.

I have had cockroaches get into my microwave and I microwave something for six minutes and they are still alive when I retrieve my food.

Normally I don't microwave a cockroach, but sometimes out of laziness it happened when they went under the dish.

I don't have an infestation of cockroaches, but they are kind of nice to have around in small quantities because I haven't had to buy food for my spider in almost a year thanks to the occasional cockroach.

Ive never eaten one but I had one crawl into a pipe and I took a hit and it tasted terrible.

I'm not gonna say what I was smoking, but don't immediately jump to the conclusion it was illegal either. Why the roach didn't exit the pipe is beyond me howeverz, but I used to keep something in my cabinet that the roaches had an apparent addiction to.

I always thought that anything with liquid in it get cooked when put in microwave

Good to know, as we both have proof of it, that life animals don't get 'microwaved', or maybe they know how to dance around those micro waves.

Maybe something like infrared system in banks. 'Good' criminals know how to not get 'burned' (at least, this is what I saw in the movies). Some animals are known to have a great radar
