My dark fantasy poem

A bit PG, so click off now if you don't want something deep, but...

Poem: The wise storyteller

Be careful of wise old men who send you on missions.
They may have better life experience,
But have they used critical thinking?
Listen to what they have to say,
But don't kill dark lords in their name.

One person's dark lord is another person's antihero.
Don't take the blade, don't overthrow the dark lord.
Because then, and only then,
Might you have an awakening,
And realize you must carry forth the rest of her mission.

The dark lord is overthrown.
You get told rumors of her past, as a humble woman.
You wish to pay your respects, despite your involvement.
You take off the helmet, and see dark beauty, now lifeless.
All because you trusted a wise old storyteller, set in his ways.

Do you mean to stop slicing and dicing Satanic demons? That's my favorite past time.

Joking.... good poem I kind of sort of get it.

I guess an inspiration for me has to do with politics. For example, you see some politicians quick to make war, but who aren't invested enough to ever fight in the war. So in a way, they're the wise storyteller of the story. On the other hand, sometimes by law, one has to go to war, too. So I guess the whole issue is much more complicated than a simple poem, too.

The boxer Mohamad Ali is a hero forever to be remembered. There's always a choice.

Nice poem

A real "wise" old man would only tell you what is best for "you";)
I know from 30 years experience with my wise Master

Also:
1) that what does not kill "you" makes "you" stronger:D
2) that what seems wrong now, might be perfect afterwards
