My 35 year old Uncle passed away.

I didnt know him that well, I met him a few times growing up, he was a heroin addict who had kicked the habit and had been clean for the last year, he made the pilgrimage to the holy city of Makkah during the last year and spent 6 months fighting for the Afghans, I dont know the details.

It is sad sad story.. a few days ago he took his 9 year old nephew out on a bike, his hat flew off, the kid jumped off and ran after the hat, a truck driver ran the kid over, he died on the spot.

My Uncle had a heart attack the next night.

Thanks for your kind comments.

Death is so unexpected..

Makes you think, especially when its someone close.. here I am thinking I'm gonna die in atleast a few decades when Im old.

I remember getting baked with the dude, he was a nice person a free soul, would disappear for months, didn't like cell phones either.

I'm still young, but I know my days are numbered
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 and so on
But a time will come when these numbers have all ended
And all I've ever seen will be forgotten

Won't you come to my funeral when my days are done?
Life's not long
And so I hope when I am finally dead and gone
That you'll gather round when I am lowered into the ground

When my coffin is sealed and I'm safely 6 feet under
Perhaps my friends will see fit then to judge me
Oh when they pause to consider all my blunders
I hope they won't be too quick to begrudge me

If I should die before I wake up
I pray that the Lord my soul will take but
My body, my body - that's your job

I can't be sure where I'm headed after death
To heaven, hell, or beyond to that Great Vast
But if I can I would like to meet my Maker
There's one or two things I'd sure like to ask

I hope what memories you have of your uncle can be of some consolation to you.
