MSNBC Exclusive! Hollywood Stars need To Use The Power of Media To Change Public Opinions on Trump

Stanyon

WWMRD?
If they couldn't be more obvious about a concerted campaign to change public opinion, in other words propaganda.

It is no secret that the majority of Americans do not favor impeachment, nor do the majority of democrats so a couple of Hollywood stars and directors get on camera and explain the need for them to step in and help mold the opinions through the power of media. What they are implying seems to be that instead of letting Americans come to their own conclusions with the Mueller report which is readily available for anyone to read we need actors, actresses, and directors from hollywood explain why we need to impeach so they can gain more public support for it. Interesting times we live in when those involved in producing propaganda openly say that is exactly what they are doing, this is a huge red flag.

Fritz Hippler "Der Filme Als Waffe" (Film as a Weapon)
"If one compares the directness and intensity of the effect that the various means of propaganda have on the great masses, film is without question the most powerful. The written and spoken word depend entirely on the content or on the emotional appeal of the speaker, but film uses pictures, pictures that for almost a decade have been accompanied by sound. We know that the impact of a message is greater if it is less abstract, more visual. That makes it clear why film, with its series of continually moving images, must have particular persuasive force."

I believe both sides are guilty of this. The choices of either side or an alternate are deeper issues.

What I find amazing is how it seems many people's choices are affected by the Hollywood stars.
Take how many stars are hired to do commercials for example hoping it will get people to buy the product because a star is endorsing it or helping with marketing. The same happens in politics. Who cares if Jordan wore nike, who cares if Selleck likes reverse mortgage, who cares if Whoopie doesn't like Trump, etc.
I honestly don't care if a star or a homeless person is marketing it or supporting it. If something appeals to me, I'm interested in it, want it, or agree with it,,, that's how I make my choices.

Why not? He's done more good things for this country than the Socialist Democrats have done since the Kennedy years.
He's done more "good" than werewolves and vampires have, too. Or are those two things that you include under your "socialist" umbrella as well?

Except for Samuel L. Jackson, of course. When he lays the "MoFo" on you, you can take it to the bank.

Influence can be subtle. I recall NPR treating as factual the claim that
Sarah Palin said "I can see Russia from my house.". My father believed
that, & cited it as a reason to vote against that ticket. The problem was
that she never said it......Tina Fey did on SNL pretending to be Palin.

Yes, I don't know why actors feel they are opinion leaders or why anyone should listen to anything they say.

Being a good actor doesn't necessarily mean you are good as anything else or an expert on anything other than acting.

Pretty much does. My take home paycheck is a lot better and there's far more available jobs now.

Infinitesimally better than the Socialist Democrats who know nothing better to do than take away people's rights and freedoms.

Comes across as a bit strange since most actors are waltzing around with the left.

But where did the idea come from?
Gibson asked Palin what insights she had gained because of her state’s proximity to Russia.
"They’re our next door neighbors, and you can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska, from an island in Alaska," Palin responded.
Palin sat down for a series of interviews with CBS anchor Katie Couric later that month in which Palin struggled to answer why Alaska’s proximity to Russia gave her the foreign policy chops necessary to serve as vice president.
"Well, it certainly does because our – our next door neighbors are foreign countries. They’re in the state that I am the executive of," said Palin.

I knew the origin.
But when entertainment media corrupt a quote to make it
even more outrageous, & then begin to present it as fact
to voters, this is dishonest influence. It's as reprehensible
as quoting Al Gore as saying "I invented the internet.".
That too is based upon something he actually said, but this
does not excuse the dishonesty.

Seriously?
Have you never compared the State of the Union when Clinton took office and when he left, and when Bush II took office and when he left, and when Obama took office and when he left?
