Hows this for a plot:
Two brothers decide to buy an internet forum focused on discussing religion.
One of the brothers is a hardcore religious person, the other one is a hardcore atheist . . .
As time goes on the forum software becomes more and more sophisticated until the whole thing culminates in a virtual reality battle between the religious brothers Avatar (a Sistine chapel version of God) and the atheist Brother's Avatar (the flying spaghetti monster), along with all of their minions.
The brothers and their armies eventually destroy each other and the site is taken over by Buddhists who turn it into an online store for selling recycled prayer beads.
