DawudTalut
Peace be upon you.
Peace and mercy of Allah be on you.... Few days ago a respected elderly scholar of Jama'at, respected Usman Chinese sahib passed away. ‘inna lillahe wa inna elehey rajeoon’ (We belong to Allah and to Him we shall return).....In 1949, through a special destiny, Allah the Exalted enabled him to leave a remote area of China, go to Pakistan and accept Ahmadiyya Islam. He wrote memoirs how Allah the Exalted continued to treat, guide and enabled him to accept Ahmadiyya Islam, gain religious knowledge and devote his life to serve faith......He narrated faith-boasting events about his life to various people. People have written about him. There is enough material about his life events, services and character so that a book can be written. Khuddamul Ahmadiyya Pakistan can do this work well.

Hazrat Khalifatul Messiah V (may Allah be his Helper) said he is stating about this Dervish human, life-devotee, missionary of Movement, practicing scholar, friend of Allah. This mention is role model for life-devotees and missionaries especially, and for everyone, for each Ahmadi.

After the migration of Hazrat Khalifatul Messiah IV (may Allah be pleased with him) in 1986, various offices of Jama'at were made in London, as works increased. Translation work of literature of Jama'at increased. A Chinese desk was made too. Usman sahib was called in 1986. He did Chinese translation of books, especially noteworthy is Chinese translation of Holy Quran. He wrote books about creed and teaching of Jama'at.
==
He began translation of Holy Quran in Chinese in 1986 on instruction from Hazrat Khalifatul Messiah IV (ra), translation was completed after 4 year hard work.... Hazrat Khalifatul Messiah IV (ra) wanted it done by 100 year centennial celebration. Usman sahib was in need of a proper helper to improve and review work. This work was not possible in UK or Pakistan, as expert in language and religion at same time was very difficult to find. He went to China and Singapore to get suggestions from language experts. Eventually a very good Chinese translation of Holy Quran was prepared by the grace of Allah the Exalted.
--
There were other translations of Holy Quran were already present before this one and latter too were made. But the translation of Jama'at Ahmadiyya is a distinctive masterpiece due to great religious knowledge of Jama'at.
--
Upon its publication, many reviews from native speakers of language from China and other countries greatly praised it. Some objected inclusion of Ahmadiyya commentary.

Chinese translation by Jama'at Ahmadiyya is very popular and is in great demand....Chinese professor Lin son has mentioned our translation of Holy Quran in his book about translations of Holy Quran in Chinese language in this century. There is review about our translation in about 15 pages.
--
Professor wrote when common scholars do translation, they do not translate certain words and write same Arabic word at the place or explain in side note. This gives impression that part was unclear for them, till end. The distinction of translation of Mr. Usman is that he translate such places too and also mentions references of base why such translation was made. Professor noted down he wrote review about translation of Quran, afterwards he met Mr. Usman many times, his impression is Mr. Usman is a simple, down to earth, sincere, pure person who practices seriously on commandments. I invited him for feast in Ramadan, he keep Fasts and believes Holy Quran is the best Book of Shariah. Though some parts of his translation and commentary are not in accordance with Chinese Sunni sect, but can it be denied this person believes in Tauheed, loves Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) and follows commandments of Allah.
