I believe that Jesus Is the most trustworthy person ever . Like seriously 'ever '. We look across the landscape of historical figures, religious leaders , prophets , gurus , life coaches , kings , queens ,politicians , and anyone you would care to mention , and I make the claim that only one person stands way above the rest.
Now I'm referring to the biblical Jesus. The one that Christianity proclaims .
So for arguments sake, if we assume that all the claims of the religions are equally viable and their leaders / prophets/ figure heads existed and there sources ,reliable. If we grant all that and we simply base our judgments on ' trustworthiness. This would be on Character, reliability, promises , the extent in which they showed sacrificial love love , charity, giving , faithfulness, selflessness, and what they offered to the world on such things as , hope , joy ,peace , eternal life , ect .
So to recap . Which historical figure , religious or otherwise is / was the most trustworthy . The one if true would be the most trustworthy for such matters as described above ?

The requisite criteria seem to suggest Jesus.

I actually googled this with the search "who was most trustworthy person in world history"
and the answer is either George Washington or Tom Hanks

I'm not a Noachide anymore but I'd take Yosef HaTzaddik. He had all these qualities in abundance; one reason I love him so much. I'm not sure I've heard of anyone with a much better character than he.

    :)

I know a few more, besides Jesus:
    Shiva, Rama, Krishna, Zoroaster
Shirdi Sai Baba, Sathya Sai Baba
    Bahaullah, Muhammad, Moses
Angels who visit us on occasion
    And so many more

In short: All those marvelous incarnations of God, I love. I don't place one higher than the other.

Anyone can design/limit criteria to suite ones preference. The
parameter did kind of limit it to your belief

I met the criteria in the OP of
    And
I also do not believe the depiction in the bible is actually jesus but an amalgamation of different people. I believe that the real jesus was terrorist and received a traitors death. So no i most definitely do not believe him trustworthy.

I am just curious, I see you often write "ect".

    Google gives:
Electro Convulsive Therapy (ECT) is a psychiatric treatment where a generalized seizure (without muscular convulsions) is electrically ...

I think it's just a misspelling of the abbreviation for et cetera (etc).

    I'm not sure anyone does.

I struggle to offer a serious answer to the OP, because qualities like hope, joy, peace, and eternal life aren't things to be offered to someone by someone else. The first three are already there for the taking, and, as I see it, eternal life (assuming we're using definition #4 in Merriam-Webster) just is. It can't be offered or revoked by anyone, let alone a historical figure.

If you assume all that then they are all equally trustworthy for if all claims are equally viable then the promises made by all are equally truthful.

Look at Christianity today. It's anything but trustworthy and Jesus is nowhere to be seen.

It leads me to say ancient mythology is not really trustworthy in absence of results.

That's what I first thought, but I saw him use it at least ca. 10 times in the past week or so, hence I thought it maybe means something else or auto-correction

How does he actually "show" love?
How does he actually "give" hope, joy, and peace?

For example, if I read in a book Bob knew I was hungry, so he cared so much he fixed me a sandwich. I'm fulfilled. That would be kind of odd to me. I don't know Bob-he's a character in a book (not a comparison). I am hungry, but he can say he gave me a sandwich but actually having it is a totally different story. I can make my own food and fulfil my hunger. I can go to the restaurant and have a chef do so in person. I can even go to my family's house and have a full meal.

Unless "you" are experiencing, giving, and mentally perceiving what you believe is jesus' love and using that to projection what is written about jesus, I'm kinda confused how he can show or give you anything.

As for me, for the reasons above, some books give inspiration and others knowledge, but even if the authors are alive today, I don't know them just what they wrote on paper (and in fiction, that doesn't say much about them but the expression of their creativity).

Would you say Muhammed was as equally trustworthy as Jesus? ( granting both claims they each gave are true )

Here is just one verse that is said to be a promise immediately to everyone who places their trust on Jesus for their salvation.
    John 7:38

“He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.”

    And in Matt 11
28Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

29Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

30For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

What Jesus offers is tangible . Because he still lives ( as the bible declares) .

    In your own words?

Relate to the restaurant example I gave.
