As the title says, how do you know? Think about it. Suppose that your god exists. He could in fact be a very powerful being, capable of performing great miracles and mind-blowing acts of strength. He may also be extremely wise. But, how could you be absolutely certain that there is not a being in existence who is more powerful than him, but who has purposely deluded him into the belief that he is the most powerful being in existence, when in fact, he is not? Furthermore, suppose that this being, call it Super-God, created your god in such a way as to blind him from the fact that Super-God exists, as well as the fact that Super-God is actually more powerful than your god, yet your god does not realize that Super-God exists, and that Super-God's will is actually different than your god's will. Super-God gave your god the ability for you to have personal encounters with your god and spiritual experiences that make you think your god is the most powerful being in existence, when in reality, Super-God is entirely different from your god, and more powerful (though your god is obviously powerful too).
The point of all this? You cannot be absolutely certain of your theistic beliefs. Though this sounds outrageous, it is not impossible logically.
