1 Kings 9:8

you should read the next verse
9 Then they will say, ‘It was because they abandoned Jehovah their God, who had brought their forefathers out of the land of Egypt, and they embraced other gods and bowed down to them and served them. That is why Jehovah brought all this calamity on them.’”

yeah ,well ,often out of context

love never goes out of style

love is never out of context. love is a circle whose circumference is no where and whose center is everywhere. without it there can be no understanding.

had the owner of the house known at what hour the fool was coming, he would have stayed awake.

For the foolishness of love is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of love is stronger than human strength.

i often wonder why people continue to use bibles with archaic language.
in today's English it reads.
John 3:8 ''The wind blows where it wants to, and you hear the sound of it, but you do not know where it comes from and where it is going. So it is with everyone who has been born from the spirit.”
Jesus knew that understanding spiritual truths is not easy. So in order to make things clearer, he used an illustration about the wind. “The wind blows where it wants to, and you hear the sound of it, but you do not know where it comes from and where it is going. So is everyone that has been born from the spirit.” (John 3:8) Nicodemus could hear, feel, and see the effects of the wind, but he could not understand its source or its final destination. Yet, the reality of the wind was beyond question. Similarly, those who lack spiritual insight would find it difficult to grasp how Jehovah, by means of his spirit, could cause a person to be born again and what the ultimate destiny of such a one would be. However, with the help of inspired Bible writers, we can comprehend such matters.—John 16:13.

What did Jesus have in mind when he spoke about being “born from water and spirit”? Birth means beginning. A new birth means a new beginning. In the case of Jesus’ disciples, their first step toward being born again began once they repented of their sins, turned away from a wrong course, and were baptized in water. Starting at Pentecost 33 C.E., in response to such action, Jehovah gave them what Peter referred to as “a new birth to a living hope . . . reserved in the heavens.” (1 Peter 1:3, 4; 3:21) Jehovah’s holy spirit implanted in them a conviction that they would eventually live with Jesus Christ in heaven. This gave them a whole new outlook on life—a new beginning.
In today's -or yesterday's -English, people often twist words based on their own ideas. Best to check the strong's numbers where there is doubt.

As he said -he had in mind that we would no longer be flesh and blood -but spirits

1 Cor 15:35But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come? 36Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die: 37And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain: 38But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body. 39All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds. 40There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another. 41There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory.

42So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption: 43It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power: 44It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. 45And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. 46Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. 47The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven. 48As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly. 49And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.

the resurrection has to do with the Spirit and not the body. regeneration has to do with the body.
Actually, the first resurrection is when the spirit in man (those which are asleep and returned to God awaiting resurrection, as well as those who will be alive in human bodies to that point) -is put within a spirit body.

Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.

i do appreciate what yo are saying i have told my self the same things your saying time and time again. yes, Noah was saved through the flood. yet he did die about 350 years after the flood.
what about Eʹnoch ?
. 24" Eʹnoch kept walking with the true God. Then he was no more, for God took him." it was not a judgement. it appears that he was just blip'ed out of existence .

Yes, Noah did die and like dead King David is Not yet resurrected - Acts of the Apostles 2:34.
Noah nor David will Not have a resurrection until the 1,000-year reign of Christ over the Earth.
This is why the ' future tense' is used that there ' is going to be ' a resurrection....... at Acts of the Apostles 24:15.

Yes, God took Enoch in the sense that God shortened his life so that enemies would Not kill him.
Enoch also will Not have a resurrection until Christ's millennial reign over Earth for a thousand years.
No one who died before Jesus died is called to heavenly life, but to live forever on Earth as originally offered to Adam before his downfall - John 3:13.

you're to worried about a body. You had a body at age 2, which is not the same at 9, nor the same at 13. Why are you worried about a body.

The ones left are saved. The ones taken are apparently ... dead.
Luke 17:37
And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together.
...and whose bodies but the bodies of the wicked dead - Jeremiah 25:33
This is in fullfillment of Revelation 19:17-18.

The ones 'left 'are the 'abandoned ones' according to Matthew 24:40-41 The left ones are ' let go off ' ones.
Like Noah, the ones taken are taken through the coming great tribulation of Revelation 7:14,9.
This ties in nicely with Matthew 25:41-43 with the figurative ' goats ' being on the 'left ' with everlasting consequences.

Unfortunately some already have been resurrected Matthew 16:28
I find Matthew 16:27-28 - Matthew 17:2 is about the transfiguration 'VISION' - Matthew 17:9
So, Not yet resurrected, because Jesus was Not yet King of Gods Kingdom at that time frame.
Jesus was giving a preview or a coming attraction of what would be in future time - Matthew 25:31

The first or earlier resurrection is for people like those of Luke 22:28-30 who have a heavenly calling- Revelation 20:6
Those first resurrected people (Daniel 7:18) have two (2) heavenly jobs to do:
They will serve mankind who live on Earth, who have a later earthly resurrection - Acts of the Apostles 24:15.
Job # 1 as " Kings " in that they will serve mankind living on Earth taking care of governmental responsibilities.
Job # 2 as " Priests " they will serve mankind living on Earth by taking care of spiritual duties - Revelation 5:9-10.
So, for a thousand years they will reign in heaven with Christ over a beautiful paradisical Earth.
Over the humble meek people who will inherit the Earth as promised at Psalms 37:9-11; Matthew 5:5

the kingdom of God is at hand is not future tense.
