    This is an enlightening read. What we see today in this politicization of masks, which seems like a form of insanity to me, also occurred in the 1918 pandemic. Humans are humans. :confused:

    Back in 1918, local and state administrations in he US arguably exacerbated the spread of the virus by refusing to implement lockdown measures, and when American soldiers were shipped out to the Western Front, they may have carried the disease with them to Europe.
