‘The Tana Toraja Indonesia Ulema Council (MUI) in South Sulawesi has issued a fatwa declaring a local organization led by a man named Paruru Daeng Tau, who claims to be the final prophet, a heretical organization. The council filed a police report against the leader alleging blasphemy.

Paruru, who comes from the neighboring Gowa regency, is the spiritual leader of an organization called the Customary and Pancasila Implementing Agency (LPAAP) in Tana Toraja.’

Religious crazies seem to pop up in all religions. And tecnically, since Indonesia is a member of the UN his actions were legal.

If he had done the same thing a millennium or two ago, maybe he would have found some luck and even garnered millions of zealous followers.

    Oh, wait...

He should have come to RF. He could have made himself right at home here. :D

The main problem would be that he'd be told he wasn't the final prophet... because there were other prophets after him.

    Hey, @Revoltingest
Guess we can cross Indonesia off of the list of places we'd like to visit or move to, eh?

Not surprising, the Ahmadis have been persecuted there for years.

I can vouch for Terry who has made similar claims on RF.

    Is progressive revelation believable?

Terry claims to be the latest manifestation of god but may wish to clarify if there can be any future manifestations after him.

I think if Muhammad himself came back to life,
    he'd avoid several Islamic countries.
Revoltistan would be safe for him though.
