    Old sufi way of thinking.

Live each moment as it was the first moment in your life.
See each moment like it was the very first time you experienced it.

I worship and believe in the One I see as the Source of Everything as a result of experience and faith. Label me as you see fit.
Even though I understand the mentality the sayings are trying to encourage, I feel tempted to come up with some smartass comment like how I'm sort of glad I don't remember the first moment of my life.

Trying to only focus on the present moment, not worry about past or future.

A sufi do remember the past, but after some time the focus is only inward in the present moment. But it is not easy

Sure, but do they have a specific method for this present-moment focus?

Yes :) but it is honestly easy to think of the past, or dream of the future if our present moment are a form of suffering. Accepting everthing that happens to us, and still remain focused only in present moment is difficult:)
