Lets see then.....
Red will be conservatism.....blue is progressive ideology......purple is both. And No, I don't care about parties.

  14. Fraudulent elections [counting 2 presidential popular count elections in the last 20 years, lost due to the electoral college, jerry-mandering, and external nations intervening on behalf of the US conservatives, not to mention an unconstitutional SCOTUS calling the count in one. And this doesn't even touch corporate money now equals "freedom of speech", and many local election jeery-mandering). vs?......?"millions of illegal voters" who have never actually happened?....

So @Kilgore Trout; I'm not seeing much more than red here.

Not looking for anything in particular. Just interested in views of others.

It's not about Trump in particular.
This is just a general leaning of the conservatives, with their elitist billionaire backers, controlling all aspects of government, and goving up more and more to the 0.01%. While the progressives are trying to resurrect the middle class.
Bombastic nationalism//fascism has become the norm for the right conservative zealots and billionaires. Fascism has always been a useful tool to wield over the narrow-minded, and those filled with fear.

...

I find that people generally see what they're looking for.
I do too, including false equivalency; because it makes them feel like things are fair.

I fear "progressives" have been slipping a bit and now far too often are also guilty of:

2 - disdain for human rights
3 - id of enemies
6 - controlled mass media
15 - attacks on free speech
16 - unhealthy "guilt" concerning defending human rights and secularism

==

I think I'm now a "centrist", and I see too many damaging extremists at every end of the spectrum.

I would add to list an unhealthy and obsessive respect and/or worship of authority as being the primary warning sign of fascism. When people lose their willingness and/or ability to question authority, then that's one step closer to fascism.

I see a whole lot more purple.

And the list is incomplete....
15) Disarm the citizenry.
16) Dynastic leadership succession.
17) Amend or suspend a constitution by fiat.

You're right. These features have definitely been seen in other countires theoughout history. Luckily, so far they have not occurred here in the U.S.A.

Wellllll..........except for your dynastic #16, since we must count the Bushes along with their dynastic Saudi oil billionaire backers. Along with those filthy Adams and Harrisons. Bah!!

Question: Would you count nepotism as part of #16?
