lines Between a Cyborg, Android, Human. and Humanity.

when does a Human become a Cyborg? when does a Cyborg become an Android? when does an Android become a Cyborg? when does an Android become a Human?

What qualifies as Human? if you took a person and implanted AI into them but they still are 100% organic are they still human?
if you took a Humans Consciousness and placed it in a Machine and they are 100% non-organic are they still Human?
if a Human's consciousness became a program would they be an Android?

if someone loses their Humanity. is it truly a loss? or is it a Gain?

I suppose that depends on how we define life.

A human becomes a cyborg when he has machine parts. They are no less human than others. An android is a "robot" made to look human and follow some of our quirks.

You can't upload an AI into a human without also changing the brain to programmable processor unit. Our brains don't function like computer hardware that can just decode instruction sets. Ours minds much more chaotic, less efficient in that way, but also more adaptable at least until we "decide" to make our thoughts rigid by following some artificial pattern.

granted our brains follow more of a chaotic process but it is still bound by variables like a computer. take the hypothetical that we could upload artificial intelligence on a human by wiping their brain clean. would it still be Human? is there even a term for a such a being?

Although some analogies could be made due to concepts we create to make things easier to understand, the brain really doesn't really work anything like a modern computer.

If it was hypothetically possible to upload a new artificial mind, it would start obeying the rules of a normal brain and stop being artificial the moment it was inside. It would start to deviate from any artificial sequences the very moment and likely start to follow the patterns of the brain that was used for it. It would be very hard to start generating neural pathways to adapt to follow something like an AI that are currently being researched. The easy way to do it would be to design the brain and the mind at the same time, just like happened with processor architecture. Something we are from achieving...

Terms like cyborg and android are ill-defined and fuzzy, never initially coined to be used in the way they are being now. I’m not convinced the general labels are important (or even a good thing), the question is really about more specific questions in different circumstances which require more detailed answers. It also only really matters in relation to things that are anywhere close to viable and none of the concepts you propose are. The answers to your questions would depend on specific details that we can’t really even being to guess right now. They can be interesting philosophical hypotheticals of course (there’s a reason these terms can from speculative fiction after all) but even in fiction the answer is usually left as a set of maybes.

Although the movie D.A.R.Y.L. was a bit cheesy, there was one line which stood out: "A machine becomes human when you can't tell the difference anymore."

Technically anyone with a plastic arm can be considered a cyborg, albiet a low-tech cyborg.

I would say someone is a cyborg when they have at least one functional piece of technology in replacement of an organ, and an adroid should have machine concumiousssness in addition to or in place of human consciousness. Whether man-made consciousness can be humanistic, I’m not really sure.

Basically, I'm an android with an upgrade so I'm too good looking to be a cyborg or a mere human.
