Anyone here know why there’s no evidence that supports the RNA to DNA evolution?
The current theory has a hard time explaining this other than by chance. However, there is a water theory that can explain this change in a logical way. If we add oil to water and shake, we will form an emulsion; high surface tension mixture of tiny water and oil bubbles. If we let this sit, the free energy within all the induced higher bubble surface area and surface tension, will lower and the water and oil will separate, all the way back to just two layers; lowest surface tension equals lowest energy.

Both RNA and DNA, although considered organic molecules, have relatively low surface tension in water. They are designed by nature, to be able to stay suspended in water and not separate out like oil, due to their already low surface tension relative to water. They are unique in being almost one with water. They were inevitable; organic companion to water.

If we add packing protein to the water; reduced protein with higher surface tension that can combine with DNA, the DNA and packing protein combine, and together will bead up, through many layers packing, all the way into condensed chromosomes. Condensed Chromosomes which are like beads of oil combined until the Chromosomes separate from the water.

DNA is a perfect blend of naturally low surface tension and high surface tension when combined with packing protein, which is very useful for cell division. When DNA duplicates, it is fully unpacked and open to the water. It is one with water. This create dynamics for perfect matching. As we add packing protein, surface tension appears, the packing protein finds the DNA to lower tension, the DNA then beads up all way to Chromosomes. After the mother cells divides into two daughter cells, the Chromosomes unpack, due to enzymes changing the layers of surface tension by shedding packing protein.

If we compare RNA and DNA, RNA is more compatible to water; become one with water, than is DNA, due to RNA having more polar and hydrogen bonding sites per unit. The DNA is more reduced; slightly more oil-like than RNA. RNA would come first because it is more stable in water, However, it is also smaller than DNA, which created a different bottleneck.

A double helix of DNA, shields the water from the extra reduced groups of DNA relative to RNA. This also added extra stability to DNA, in water, that allows for very large stable templates. This size increases allowed life to go the next step. The DNA would come next after RNA, based on the needs of water setting the vector for evolution. This is beyond the scope of this question.
