I would have loved to put this thread in the jokes section but it is serious breaking news.
Jersey is being terrorised by feral chickens.
The birds roam the island in packs as much as 100 strong and are waking people, tearing up gardens and terrorising joggers.
Jersey is being terrorised by 100-strong gangs of feral chickens
They're all in Washington DC currently.
If it was New Jersey the rats would've taken care of the chicken problem.
I completely agree. It was my solution in post 14, i really enjoy roast chicken with all the trimmings.
But a thought, chances are they are past their 60 day prime so maybe boiled chicken...
Hi Chris.
Reminds me of Monty Python's 'Hell's Grannies' sketch.
There is a comment with video clip somewhere in this thread. One moment..
Post 15, and my response in post 17
Ach y fi!
Boiled chicken has its place, just do it with the best seasonings
It certainly does have its place......in the bin .
must not have been successful if they still have a problem...They have had a couple of culls

I dont normally watch Jamie and Jimmies Friday night feast but i did last night because i am a fan of Patrick Stewart.
He made a chicken mole enchilada that i really do have to try.
Ah! Therein lies the problem...ideology rather than intentional ecosystem management...Only small ones to appease animal rights.
Big fan of Patrick Steward myself. Have started to watch 'Picard'. Looks promising.
By the way, I once had an uncle who - I was told as a kid - would scoff every bit of a chicken except feathers and beak. Fried, roasted or boiled. Never witnessed this, but since the grown-ups spoke of it....it must be true
Not seen any Picard we have freesat only, mostly for the kids.
I will eat most things and face had some strange and quirky food but I won't eat offal, that is difficult living here, gizards are a traditional dish
OMG!that is difficult living here, gizards are a traditional dish
Australia -- cane toads -- pops readily to mind.
Shame (Picard). As for offal.....not a chance. Forced to eat liver and kidney as a child, but yuck! Can't take it in any form.
OMG!
I'd almost managed to forget that.
My mom made chicken gizzards(and hearts) in some kind of sauce and put it over rice.
But at least she didn't make me eat snails.
