    Labeling

Labeling allows us to disregard the humanity

Labeling is a tool of those who wish to divide humanity rather than unite. If we are unable to reach beyond the labeling to 'see' the person, the conversation is dead.

In Buddhism, there's a teaching that goes "When you point your finger at the moon, it's important to remember that the end of your finger is not the moon".

IMO, the same thing can apply to our use of words, namely that the word is not the same thing that the word may stand for. Thus, labels can be very misleading.
