Last week, two Orthodox bishops--one Syriac Orthodox and the other Greek Orthodox--were abducted by militants. They still remain in captivity, as Holy Week dawns on our two churches. As we prepare to celebrate the Passion and Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, it's clear to everyone that the Church in the Middle East is seeing some of the most turbulent times in perhaps centuries--and an aspect of fear is settling over the Christians, even at what should be a time of joyous preparation.
