Jinns in Quran

Most people think of Jinns as paranormal creatures, very different from human beings. Common belief about Jinns is that they can become invisible or attain any shape and form and even can get inside human bodies to possess them. They are free from material form and can fly in air or space. Their diet is different from humans, they eat bones and sweets. Their life span is also different from human life span and a plethora of similar fantastic beliefs about Jinns. The root word ج ن ن of ‘Jinn’ imply meanings in the sense of ‘shielded’ or ‘covered’.
