There's the heart of the matter right there. What God wants. Don't you suppose God wants all of God's children to live eternally with God?
Job says, "I know that you can do all things; no plan of yours can be thwarted."
"On this mountain the Lord Almighty will prepare a feast of rich food for all peoples, a banquet of aged wine -- the best of meats and finest of wines. On this mountain he will destroy the shroud that enfolds all peoples, the sheet that covers all nations; he will swallow up death for ever. The Sovereign Lord will wipe away tears from all faces; he will remove the disgrace of his people from all the earth." Isaiah 25:6-8
"Turn to me and be saved, all you ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no other. By myself I have sworn, my mouth has uttered in all integrity a word that will not be revoked. Before me every knee will bow; by me every tongue will swear. They will say of me, 'In the Lord alone are righteousness and strength.'" Isaiah 45:22-24
"Your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should be lost." Matt. 18:14
Sure sounds to me like what God wants is for every person to be saved. Does God not finally get what God wants?
