An article written by Benjamin H. Freedman Jewish Historian - Researcher - Scholar

"This 'big lie' technique is brainwashing United States Christians into believing that Jesus Christ was "King of the Jews", in the sense that so-called 'Jews' today call themselves 'Jews'. This reference was first made in English translations of the Old and New Testaments, centuries before the so-called Jews highjacked the word 'Jew' in the 18th century A.D. to palm themselves off on the Christian world as having a kinship with Jesus Christ. This alleged kinship comes from the myth of their common ancestry with the so-called 'Jews' of the Holy Land in the Old Testament history, a fiction based on fable."

    And by Jason Collett

Judea and Galilee were two separate states and political entities, as illustrated on the map of Palestine in the time of our Saviour in your Bible. Jesus Himself was not a Jew (Judean) or resident of Judea, He was a Galilean or resident of Galilee (Matthew 26:69; John 7:41), and a Judahite or descendent of the Tribe of Judah. The Judeans of prominence were not of the Tribe of Judah, but of Edomites. Pilate was being ironic when he wrote the sign "Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Judeans" for the Cross (John 19:19). That is, "the Galilean who was King of the Judeans," as in "Queen Victoria of England, Empress of India." Jesus grew up in Nazareth in Galilee. His disciples were fishermen from the Sea of Galilee. And although He visited Jerusalem, he spent most of His life in his home country of Galilee. John 7:1, "After this Jesus stayed in Galilee; for He could not walk in Judea, because the Jews sought to kill him." His followers were constrained "for fear of the Jews" (John 7:13, 19:38, 20:19).

Jesus was a Jew. the apostles were Jews, and Paul was a Jew according to the Gospels and Acts of the Apostles. Matthew gives a genealogy- I would suppose you don't agree with it.

It seems to me that if they practiced Judaism, they would be Jews. The Last Supper was a Passover Seder. Have I missed something?

There is no doubt in my mind that Jesus was Jewish and came in fulfillment of hundreds of OT given by God through the prophets of Israel. Nor do I have any doubt that the Jews in Israel today are the real descendents of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob whom God promised to bring back to the land of Israel in fulfillment of many more prophetic scriptures.

You have been reading anti-Semitic, Israel identity, white supremacist, and unbiblical material.

Sorry, but I stopped reading at the first "so-called 'Jews'" in the opening sentence.

The quran mentioned that jesus was sent to the Jews but that doesn't mean that he was a jew similar to the saying in the quran that Mohamed was sent to the whole world.

Well, he was jew so he probably was doing Shabat, and all the things that jews were supposed to do. So he was a jew

And a jew is submitted to God too, no ? So at the end it's the same.
You are just playing with words.

Will you say that David and Moses were not jew too ?
I don't understand the goal of this thread

Jesus practiced Judaism, taught in Jewish temples, observed Jewish holy days, etc...

    He was Jewish.

And Benjamin H. Freedman was no Jewish Historian, Scholar, or Researcher.
He was a noted anti-Semite who ran a soap company and threw his money and rhetoric towards anti-Semitic publications, organizations and lobbyists.

Jason Collett? Never heard of him.

From a Jewish site - Note the last paragraph -

Where does the word "Jew" come from? - jewish identity who/what is a jew?

"The term "Jew" (Heb. Yehudi) can be used differently in different contexts. In its narrowest interpretation it would mean someone from the tribe of Judah (Heb. Yehudah).

In a broader sense it refers to anyone from the kingdom of Judah, which included within it people from the tribe of Benjamin, Levites and Priests as well. A biblical example of this is Moredechai who is called a Jew even though he was from the tribe of Benjamin.

In an even broader sense, especially in contemporary times, the word Jew has come to mean anyone who is part of the "Children of Israel", also known as Israelites, descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, or "people of the book", as well as converts to Judaism.

This probably has to do with the fact that the northern kingdom of Israel with its Ten Tribes were exiled and lost. The remaining Israelites were all from the kingdom of Judah."

So how do you know that he was doing similar to all jews and as you said
that he act on Shabbat similar to jews then my question to you.

Why christians don't do similar to Jesus pbuh on Shabbat.

No i am not playing with words

No; Abraham in truth was not a Jew, neither a Christian; but he was a Muslim and one pure of faith; certainly he was never of the idolaters (3:67)

All prophets are muslims,so do you think that god also play with words that he said they weren't Christians or Jews but muslims
