I agree with much of what the OP is saying.

Alcoholism is an epidemic. It always has been. It's entirely too easy to form an addiction.

And, I don't think it a coincidence that Jesus acknowledged the common perception that he was a glutton and a drunkard. These people saw something- something recurring. People don't just apply these labels to any and everyone. There was some credence.

The Son of Man, i.e. mankind, is indeed eating and drinking. And we have a problem worldwide, with gluttony and alcoholism, that needs a solution. Unfortunately, Jesus left many stumbling blocks- even strengthening some.

I believe culture is a part of It. Specifically, the New Testament has Greek influences, right?

I can see Jesus imbibing wine while being relaxing to Pan's rustic pipe. What a great way to bring out the Holy Spirit!

I always wondered, if he saved the good wine for last, how can people know it was good wine if they were buzzing by that time?

You are twisting reality--1Cor 6:9-11 condemns drunkenness. So NO Jesus was not A drunkard.
The bible account does not say those people were drunk already. Did you ever read Jeremiah 17:9-- The heart is desperate and treacherous who can know it?--Many living in that kind of heart twist things into false reasonings like your post. And start believing false things.

For the OP claim to be true Jesus would have had to sin. Jesus never sinned. He'd also have to go against his own commands, being Jesus was God in flesh. (Immanuel = "God with us")
    1 Corinthians 6:10
Nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.

You do know that Paul contradicts Jesus in many places, correct? For instance, Jesus taught salvation by faith and works (Matthew 7:21, Matthew 6:14-15), while Paul taught salvation by faith alone (Romans 10:13).

Jesus was a mortal while on earth-Hebrews 2:7-9) God did all things through Jesus-Acts 2:22. Jesus is the firstborn of all creation( creatures) Collosians 1:15)-- He was created direct first and last. All other things created through him( Gods master worker) Proverbs 8

No, Jesus was not mortal while on earth. That's a JW teaching that is in error. Nor is it correct that Paul said Jesus was just a man while on earth.

You may insist Jesus was wholly mortal at your peril. That's blaspheming the holy spirit.

Jesus was made lower than the angels, wholly man and wholly God, which you deny, so that he could fulfill the purpose for which he was born; to die and take the sins of the world upon himself on the cross.
Then after three days he arose from death, something mortals don't do unless Jesus prior had raised them from the dead, Lazarus, and continued his ministry for 40 days.

Its you who are mistaken--No mortal or spirit being can kill God--They did kill Jesus, he was mortal flesh. God did it all through him( Acts 2:22) try reading the bible. You will not learn its truths in any building called a church. I searched through many of them. They do not know God or Jesus. Jesus teachings do not back them whatsoever.

It wasn't safe to drink the water.. Beer and wine have been around since before Christ.

You're mistaken and I'm not going to banter back and forth about this with someone who's JW. You need to come out of JW and find Christ.
We all need help to understand the Bible, and we cannot find the Scriptural guidance we need outside the ‘faithful and discreet slave’ organization.”—The Watchtower,February 15, 1981, p. 19
*That organization is the Watchtower organization*

“Thus the Bible is an organizational book and belongs to the Christian congregation as an organization, not to individuals, regardless of how sincerely they may believe that they can interpret the Bible. For this reason the Bible cannot be properly understood without Jehovah’s visible organization in mind.”—The Watchtower, October 1, 1967, p. 587
Jehovah’s Witness View of Bible Study

    To help you learn something:

Jesus said from the cross , into thy hands I commend my spirit.
And then he gave up the ghost.
    God left the body.
And then three days later, came out of the tomb, saw his shadow and there were more weeks of winter in ancient Palestine. No, wait, that's not it.
Three days later, God took up the form again and walked out of the tomb.
    See, mortals don't do that.

Trinity religions outright refuse to believe Jesus over the schools of mens dogmas. Here is the reality Jesus teaches--John 20:17, Rev 3:12--He has a God like we do-his Father--He calls the Father( one who sent him= THE ONLY TRUE GOD at John 17:3--It takes believing Jesus. Not a single trinitarian I ever met will, its very sad.

Jesus was God. When he was speaking to his followers they saw a man, because the attendant Jews of that time knew the scripture that warned , no one can look upon God and live. However, in the body of man, which God created from the beginning, He could deliver His Gospel.
Jesus said, when you have seen me you have seen the Father.

Those who are in Christ have their name written in the Lamb's Book of Life forever. Irrevocable, is God's gift and grace.
God knew who were his before he created this world. False teachers, false denominations, don't have the power to overcome God's will and word. The names in the LBoL are eternal.
The Bible also says, those who choose to preach, teach, the word are to be held to a higher standard at their judgment.
It is then that those false teachers will answer for every word. Not the followers they misled.

Oh yes the followers will answer for their choices. God showed all in Noahs day--Minor children ride their parents back. If the parents Fail, their children go with them as in Noahs day. Ones not old enough to really make a choice from understanding. And that is satans #1 tactic throughout the history of mortal man. Pose as God in false religions and mislead . From generation to generation, from parent to child these kind of things are handed to their own children. Not on purpose but because this occurs( 2Corinthians11:12-15

Turn away from your false allegiance to the JW. Donate your New World Translation bible to a book drive or library and find Christ. You're still alive and that means there's still time to be saved.

JW New World Translation Bible Errors List - Doctrines of Faith

Editing to add, the followers of Jesus will not answer for their choices. They are redeemed through the blood of the lamb as God's chosen before the world came to exist. Names written in the Lamb's Book of Life for all eternity. God knew who would follow his son. That is why his son said, no one comes to him unless the father calls them. John 6:44

You should be aware that the false teachers , the founder of the JW, and all false one's , will answer to a stricter judgment for their misdeeds in the name of the Father.
    James 3:1-12
