Jewish interpretation of this commandment is taken to mean not taking a vain oath in God's name, thereby bringing disrepute on him.

as if to ask?.....was His ministry for nothing?

and when His people came pointing their fingers.....
any deed done on the Sabbath is wrong

He said unto them …..the Lord is the Lord
    even onto the Sabbath
Does not the shepherd free the lamb from thistle?
    even on the Sabbath

    and He continued healing
    any day He chose to

I don't think we humans know the Name of God

when Moses did ask...what shall I say as I give this law unto the people?
what name shall I say unto them?

    and God answered.....
    Tell the people......I AM!
and they with understanding will know whose law this is

it was not a name as such
    more a statement of existence
kinda like saying......I AM the First

    or saying.....Let there be light

I believe the first pronouncement of existence is known only by God

but didn't he say go forth immersing in the name of the Father, the Son, and Holy Spirit. wasn't he anointing others with that idea of oneness?

    70. Jesus said, "If you bring forth what is within you, what you have will save you. If you do not have that within you, what you do not have within you [will] kill you."

Can you give examples? Jesus did not use name but:
3“This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. "

john the baptist's baptizing was an outward baptizing. jesus' was a spiritual, inward baptism

    Matthew 28:19 [Full Chapter]
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing(immersing) them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

    Matthew 6:9

    Revelation 3:8
I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut. I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name.

water is an element, fire is too. fire is always associated with the mental, spiritual. fire impressed upon water is the beginning of creation.

    water cleanses the outside.
    fire cleanses everything

john might have helped them with a glimpse of the kingdom
but jesus gave them them the keys to the kingdom

    i have the key

Fire and Water are the two purest elements, and the other two elements of Air and Earth are considered to be more material versions of them.

There is no magic in pronouncing God's name a certain way.

'In the name of...' is just another way of saying 'in the authority of' some party.

it creates a stabilization between the inner and outer; when understood. it centers everything.

“God is a circle whose center is everywhere and circumference nowhere.”

    oneness is experienced

I have no reason to think he did so.
