I believe this is a great question that I've even asked from time to time. I've asked "what if satan invented all the religions in the world and wrote every "holy book" to divide humanity against itself?" Abrahamic religious believe that satan is the master of lies yet somehow believe that they are immune to those lies.

I don't think even the saints (Christian elect) are completely immune from the lies of Satan. But having the Christian's Armour of God is definitely an advantage.

Of all the ways to die.... given a choice.... I'd rather it be by the one who intends to bring me back to life -and can do so. I know some don't believe God can do that -but, then, why argue about it?

It is definitely OK for God to kill anyone -I trust his judgment.

I wont get into your lack of history VS faith arguement. faith is belief without evidence.

You live out faith 24/7, you just don't want to admit it and therefore call it something more user freindly. You use faith in the bank you entrust your money with, the police for protection, the chair you sit on from day to day,the food you eat ,the vehicles or modes of transportation you use, the roof over your head, the list goes on...is this not a faith you operate in day in and day out...faith in action , the word "Faith" is synonymous with words such as trust, reliance,confidence,assurance,believe,conviction...this is what we operate in everyday.

yes the evil of the bible is a scare tactic in my opinion, god is obviously a jealous childlike god with the passages as presented.

One thing I can garantee after looking historicaly at the bible is that its %90 fiction and if there is a god, christians surely got it wrong with there guesses. In my opinion

from the priest that abuse little boys, to the peole who murder abortion doctors, there all christians. Look into your christian past amd face the evils of your god with all the murders that have taken place.

First of all, it was God the Father who recited Revelation to St. John and not God the Son (Jesus). And by "children" the author of Revelation 2:23 means "people" and not actual children. God sees us all as children, regardless of our age.

Suggesting that Jesus Christ was a child-killer is horribly offensive to Christians and a few hundred years ago the Church would have "purified" you for doing so. But in the year 2010, you along with Matt Parker and Trey Stone are free to blaspheme however they like (as long as the target is not Islam).
