There’s a conspiracy theory going around right wing media talking about exposing media bias at CNN. The O’Keefe videos so far have focused on the Zucker calls, which have purportedly bombshell revelations like “Andrew Yang won’t win the Democratic nomination, but is still interesting.” Not exactly the kind of stuff that moves voters or donors to O’Keefe’s Project Veritas.
Project Veritas is run by James O'Keefe who is a conservative activist. He has a long history of selectively editing videos and pulling politically motivated stunts under the guise of "journalism." In reality, it's unethical journalism that has crossed over into illegality on numerous occasions. Moreover, O'Keefe misleading targets in sting operations is ethically debatable in journalism, but what makes his videos/reports so reprehensible is how he misleads and lies to the audience with selective editing (jump cuts, sequencing out of order, misleading quotes) in order to push his agenda. He is not giving the audience the full picture, the real picture, the actual full unedited video to the audience. Why? Because providing unedited video that shows the entire interaction with the target/victim would lay ruin to his objective and prove his narrative wrong. James O'Keefe is a full-blown propagandist with zero journalistic integrity based on his history.
Project Veritas tried to pull a fast one on the Washington Post in 2017 during the whole Roy 'pedophile" Moore scandal. WaPo blew them out of the water and exposed Project Veritas as liars and frauds. Bonus video of O'Keefe ironically trying to run away from cameras after being caught.
