I've seen every Buffy episode but never seen Angel

How important is Angel to the series ? I never got around to it.

That being said I watch SEAL Team with David Boreanez

Not that important. There is a bit of crossover.
I do like Angel though. It’s a cool show

The only thing I didn't get (because I didn't watch Angel) was Faith becoming good again.

And Spike was in Angel after seemingly dying in the Buffy finale

Yes like I said, there is some cross over. Angel is, after all, a spin off show. So there will be plot lines on Buffy that will be wrapped up or continued on Angel. That’s how show writing tends to work
