would you not agree that the earth will be a better place without the wicked people on it? and what a loving God Jehovah is, because he does not want anyone to be destroyed as 2 peter 3;9 tells us.
Jehovah is not slow respecting his promise, as some people consider slowness, but he is patient with YOU because he does not desire any to be destroyed but desires all to attain to repentance. Yet Jehovah’s day will come as a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a hissing noise, but the elements being intensely hot will be dissolved, and earth and the works in it will be discovered................ no ,this is not talking about the earth being burned with litral fire, the heavens refered to here , are the ruling powers of men, they will pass away, and the elements are refering to political elements that will uncover things
Soon, Jehovah will move the world’s political elements to unite in efforts to expose and devastate the spiritual harlot Babylon the Great. (Revelation 17:15-17; 18:21) Should true Christians fear that event and the other aspects of the "great tribulation" that will follow? (Matthew 24:21) Not at all! They will actually have reasons to rejoice when God acts against the wicked. (Revelation 18:20; 19:1, 2)
Yes, God’s battle of Armageddon against Satan’s visible political elements on earth will result in total victory for Jehovah and his King of kings.—Revelation 16:14-16; 19:17-21. thrilling times indeed.

It's best not to get confused about when are the end times. When the bible authors say latter times or days they were thinking it was very near. Many times throughout history thigns got bad. Such as the Pursecution of the Christians, then Black Death which killed half the population of Europe. So many wars have been fought and many times people thought it was the endtimes without seeing to the fact that many thigns must happen before the end times come.

1- Israel must be a nation (Accomplished)
2- Temple must be rebuilt (Not Accomplished)-This could happen before or after the Gathering (Rapture)
3-There must be a great falling away from the faith (Happening Now)
-And so much more.

Only today are we capable (so they say) to kill every human upon the face of the earth. We (as America) have weapons that if we use them it will certainly harm us also.

Jesus said that this time will have to be shortened or no flesh would survive. And Before all of this happens comes the Rapture (Daniel 12:1-3). Many will be saved during the Great Tribulation who before had not heard about Jesus, that Jesus wil send his angels to gather them again, (returning with the Saints).

We cannot be totally definate on when or what exactally the end times will be like, but most likely it will not be like the End TImes books.

This is all so laughable. How many living prophets do you know now that prophecy about events 2000 years in the future? None. In practicality all biblical prophecies were meant to be for the imminent future, particularly the second coming of the supposed Jesus( who never existed). People are not concerned about what happens in the extreme distant future, just in the next few generations, the idea that any biblical prophecies are for these times is frankly absurd.

I believe the apocalypse may come in the far distant future. Yet it interests me.

Oh dear, I just ruined your theory

Define "apocalypse".

Even the supposed Jesus predicted that his return would be in that generation, not 2000+ years hence.

The end of the world, the rapture... second coming of Jesus...

Was this pre or post crucifixion?

I don't know, I wasn't there, were you?

Oh, silly me, there was I thinking you had biblical evidence.

Of course, atheists don't need that to prove their arguments, because they are so obviously right :tuna:

Why preach fear? Why promote it? Why is this what you choose to do?

The end is not coming. Change is coming. The veil covering our eyes will soon be lifted, but not in our lifetimes. People will feel the presence of God, like the morning sun on your face. People will know that the earth is a living system that we are all a part of. When one needs, we all need for that person. All will work equally to gather and distribute food, only taking our share. We will build each others homes. Our children will grow up surrounded by gardens and works of art.

God will not suddenly punish the wicked. They will change their hearts on their own when they see that their neighbor is equal to them. We are not strangers to each other, we are brother and sister spirits all on the same journey.

This great change that is coming for the earth will not be easy. The planet will suffer growing pains, the weather will change drastically. But do not be afraid for there is nothing to fear.

Even if homo sapiens as a species ceased to exist, tbe world would keep on turning, just like it did for billions of years before we came along.

It appears you and I are not seeing the same things happening in the world.

As far as I'm concerned, the temple has been rebuit (actually over 100 of them have been dedicated to the Lord already).

The falling away is not taking place today. It took place shortly after the last of the Apostles died. You failed to mention the fourth thing that was prophesied would take place prior to the Second Coming of Christ. The truths which were lost during the "falling away" would be restored. That has also happened. :)

Jesus predicted the end of a system of things back then , and it did come true just as he predicted . it happened in 70 C.E. that was the fullfillment back then, but there is a major fullfillment for our day , and the signs are all happening , when he said ..............this generation will by no means pass away untill all these things accur , he was referring to a generation of people who did not recognise him , and did not recognise that he was the son of God . so today the generation of people who are around today have the same attitudes as those early people , they do not recognise Jesus and his kingship, they do not recognise Jesus presence in kingdom power . we have been in the last days since 1914, that was the time when Jesus was made king of Gods heavenly kingdom goverment .Daniel 2;44 and Daniel 7;13-14 .yes the attitudes are the same to day as they were in those days but the major fullfillment will happen just as it did in 70.CE

The preaching of better things is going on ,it is goodnews indeed. it is all part of the sign that Jesus said would be happening .
And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come matthew 24;14 this system of things will come to its end ,but better things will take over the affairs of humans. just as Daniel 2;44 tells us
And in the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be brought to ruin. And the kingdom itself will not be passed on to any other people. It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it itself will stand to times indefinite; ............the kingdom in the heavens is now well established ,and has been since 1914, and very shortly now it will step into the affairs of man, and then we will see many blessing on the earth. Goodnews isnt it? but it is being made known first .
(Mark 13:10) Also, in all the nations the good news has to be preached first.

God will not suddenly punish the wicked.-

i think the wicked are
"practicers of what is hurtful."
We can have confidence in the fulfillment of David’s words: "Just a little while longer, and the wicked one will be no more; and you will certainly give attention to his place, and he will not be. But the meek ones themselves will possess the earth, and they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace. The righteous themselves will possess the earth, and they will reside forever upon it."—Psalm 37:10, 11, 29. but what does the bible tell us about wicked ones?
The way of righteous ones" will remain forever, but incorrigibly wicked people will perish because of Jehovah’s adverse judgment. And their "way," or course of life, will end with them
God soon will execute judgment upon all the wicked. Nothing can prevent it.
God’s past dealings with the wicked indicate how he will act in our day
Divine judgment is always deserved, inescapable, and selective. This can be seen from the apostle Paul’s words: "It is righteous on God’s part to repay tribulation to those who make tribulation for you, but, to you who suffer tribulation, relief along with us at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven with his powerful angels in a flaming fire, as he brings vengeance upon those who do not know God and those who do not obey the good news about our Lord Jesus." (2 Thessalonians 1:6-8)
(Revelation 19:19) And I saw the wild beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to wage the war with the one seated on the horse and with his army.

Hope in Jehovah and keep his way,

And he will exalt you to take possession of the earth.
When the wicked ones are cut off, you will see [it]. psalm 37;34

Watch the blameless one and keep the upright one in sight,

For the future of [that] man will be peaceful.
But the transgressors themselves will certainly be annihilated together;
The future of wicked people will indeed be cut off. psalm 37;37-38
Jehovah knows how to deliver people of godly devotion out of trial, but to reserve unrighteous people for the day of judgment to be cut off 2 peter 2;9

Dan 12:4 But you, O Daniel, shut up the words and seal the book, even to the time of the end. Many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

Luk 17:24 For as the lightning which lights up, flashing from the one part under heaven, and shines to the other part under heaven, so also shall the Son of Man be in His day.
Luk 17:25 But first He must suffer many things and be rejected of this generation.

Eating, drinking, sex are just some of them...
Luk 17:26 And as it was in the days of Noah, so it also shall be in the days of the Son of Man.
Luk 17:27 They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark; and the flood came and destroyed them all.
Luk 17:28 So also as it was in the days of Lot: they ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built;
Luk 17:29 but the day Lot went out of Sodom, it rained fire and brimstone from the heaven and destroyed them all.
Luk 17:30 Even so it shall be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed.

God bless you all.

this verse is referring to the understanding that will become abundant in the time of the end . bible prophecy for many years was shut up and no understanding was being revealed , but now the book is well and truly opened up , and the understanding about bible prophecy is well and truly being revealed. yes it is all happening in the times we are living in . many prophecies in the bible book of Daniel are connected to the things wrote about in the book of revelation. and the book of revelation .......... means an UNCOVERING OR REVEALING............... THRILLING TIMES INDEED:clap

Depends on what topped us. A black hole? The world would probably still turn, but in trillions of little bits around the singularity on a rapidly decaying orbit :D

Those who will go to eternal damnation are also specifically written in the bible...
Rev 20:10 And the Devil who deceived them was cast into the Lake of Fire and Brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet were . And he will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

Who else will go to hell?
Rev 21:8 But the fearful, and the unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, will have their part in the Lake burning with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.

God bless you.

yes ,i like the book of revelation it is very relevant for this time that we live in , it is also a book full of symbolisim, so of cause it does not mean a litral hell fire , yes the understanding is becoming clearer and clearer. and the false prophet has been revealed.
The wild beast and the false prophet are political entities and are a part of Satan’s visible organization. (Revelation 13:1, 2, 11-14; 16:13, 14)
