    1914—A
    Significant Year in Bible Prophecy

DECADES in advance, Bible students proclaimed that there would be significant developments in 1914. What were these, and what evidence points to 1914 as such an important year?
As recorded at Luke 21:24, Jesus said: "Jerusalem will be trampled on by the nations, until the appointed times of the nations ["the times of the Gentiles," King James Version] are fulfilled." Jerusalem had been the capital city of the Jewish nation—the seat of rulership of the line of kings from the house of King David. (Psalm 48:1, 2) However, these kings were unique among national leaders. They sat on "Jehovah’s throne" as representatives of God himself. (1 Chronicles 29:23) Jerusalem was thus a symbol of Jehovah’s rulership.
How and when, though, did God’s rulership begin to be "trampled on by the nations"? This happened in 607 B.C.E. when Jerusalem was conquered by the Babylonians. "Jehovah’s throne" became vacant, and the line of kings who descended from David was interrupted. (2 Kings 25:1-26) Would this ‘trampling’ go on forever? No, for the prophecy of Ezekiel said regarding Jerusalem’s last king, Zedekiah: "Remove the turban, and lift off the crown. . . . It will certainly become no one’s until he comes who has the legal right, and I must give it to him." (Ezekiel 21:26, 27) The one who has "the legal right" to the Davidic crown is Christ Jesus. (Luke 1:32, 33) So the ‘trampling’ would end when Jesus became King.
When would that grand event occur? Jesus showed that the Gentiles would rule for a fixed period of time. The account in Daniel chapter 4 holds the key to knowing how long that period would last. It relates a prophetic dream experienced by King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon. He saw an immense tree that was chopped down. Its stump could not grow because it was banded with iron and copper. An angel declared: "Let seven times pass over it."—Daniel 4:10-16.
In the Bible, trees are sometimes used to represent rulership. (Ezekiel 17:22-24; 31:2-5) So the chopping down of the symbolic tree represents how God’s rulership, as expressed through the kings at Jerusalem, would be interrupted. However, the vision served notice that this ‘trampling of Jerusalem’ would be temporary—a period of "seven times." How long a period is that?
Revelation 12:6, 14 indicates that three and a half times equal "a thousand two hundred and sixty days." "Seven times" would therefore last twice as long, or 2,520 days. But the Gentile nations did not stop ‘trampling’ on God’s rulership a mere 2,520 days after Jerusalem’s fall. Evidently, then, this prophecy covers a much longer period of time. On the basis of Numbers 14:34 and Ezekiel 4:6, which speak of "a day for a year," the "seven times" would cover 2,520 years.

The 2,520 years began in October 607 B.C.E., when Jerusalem fell to the Babylonians and the Davidic king was taken off his throne. The period ended in October 1914. At that time, "the appointed times of the nations" ended, and Jesus Christ was installed as God’s heavenly King.—Psalm 2:1-6; Daniel 7:13, 14.
Just as Jesus predicted, his "presence" as heavenly King has been marked by dramatic world developments—war, famine, earthquakes, pestilences. (Matthew 24:3-8; Luke 21:11) Such developments bear powerful testimony to the fact that 1914 indeed marked the birth of God’s heavenly Kingdom and the beginning of "the last days" of this present wicked system of things.—2 Timothy 3:1-5.

    Hi!

In fact, the Biblical prophecies were for the year 1844 CE, and these were fulfilled on time and completely, as promised!

You can see the details at: www.bci.org/prophecy-fulfilled

the heavenly kingdom goverment is now well established since 1914 right on time inline with bible prophecy and chronology, and since that date we have been living in the Lords day . the book of revelation reveals many things to Jesus servants in these the last days.
(John 18:36) Jesus answered: "My kingdom is no part of this world. If my kingdom were part of this world, my attendants would have fought that I should not be delivered up to the Jews. But, as it is, my kingdom is not from this source............. Jesus knew that his kingdom was going to be in heaven.
(Daniel 7:14) And to him there were given rulership and dignity and kingdom, that the peoples, national groups and languages should all serve even him. His rulership is an indefinitely lasting rulership that will not pass away, and his kingdom one that will not be brought to ruin. yes its all happening since 1914 ,Jesus was given the kingship at that time , and Jesus wants the Goodnews about the established kingdom to be made known ............ and that is just what true christians are doing inline with the bible. thrilling times indeed
And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come. matthew 24;14 soon the end of manmade goverments , but not the end of Gods heavenly kingdom goverment ,because that goverment will last forever as Daniel 2;44 tells us
And in the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be brought to ruin. And the kingdom itself will not be passed on to any other people. It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it itself will stand to times indefinite; .................... but first the goodnews about this established goverment has to be preached first.
(Mark 13:10) Also, in all the nations the good news has to be preached first........and that is what Jesus wants his people to be doing for him. thrilling times indeed.

How does this tie in with the references in Revelation to 1260?

Revelation 11:2, 3 clearly states that 42 months (3 1/2 years) in that prophecy are counted as 1,260 days. Seven years would be twice that, or 2,520 days. Applying the "day for a year" rule would result in 2,520 years.

You can't understand Bible prophecy without knowledge of the book of Daniel, Ezekiel, Zechariah, Thessalonians, Matthew Revelation. For instance in Daniel its weel known that Nebuchanezzars dream of a great statue involved 5 world empires, empires that wanted to rule the world. The fifth one is recognised by Bible scholars as the Roman Empire revitalised. What we would know as the European Union. Its clay and iron together. The anti Christ is thought of as being the coming President of the European Union. Daniel 9. Daniel describes him as being a man of fierce countencance Chap8:26. He's going to make Adolf Hitler look like a choir boy !! Forerunners are Hitler, Stalin, Napolean, Alexander. He will make a peace [pact with Israel for 7 years, the pact being broken after 3.5. When the Armegeddon campaign starts. This is when Magog (Moscow Tubal, (maybe Turkey or Toboslk) invadesw Israel,. Israel wins, when China /Korea, attacks and then everyone, all on Megiddo. It is at this point when Zechariah 14:4 says Jesus is going to return to earth at the mount of Olives to rule and reign for a Sabbath rest. The Bible says that one day is like a thousand years, so the 1000 year reign (not reich) of Christ begins. Thats what the Bible says is in its simplest form, this is religious belief, its not evangelical, or traditional, or denominational, just straight forward religious Christain belief. In Zechariah 14 it aslo describes Nuclear war n d the return of the saints with Jesus to rule with him. There will be zero tolerance of any other religion, and no other form of worship (which as the Bible has pointed out from Genesis to Revelation) allowed. This is idol worship. Unless its Jeovah, Yahweh, or whatever name you prefer. It will not be allowed because no sin will be allowed. Jesus will not allow sin into heaven and no one can get rid of their own sin. Again, this is orthodox Christian religious belief, not proseltyzing, just Biblical belief. Jesus Christ took all our sin on Himself(real event and Biblical belief) to allow those that want to to go to heaven and then return to earth with Him. A reign of peace and prosperity resides, the devil and his angels are thrown into hell and all is well. Forever. All this is straight forward Biblical belief.

yes, the world powers of the book of Daniel . we are now well along , regarding the huge image in Daniel, we are now right down to the feet of the huge image . iron and clay do not mix togeather. we are living right now with the feet of the image ,and the next thing to happen is Gods heavenly kingdom goverment crushing them all out of the way . yes it has all happened, regarding the various powers that have been in power down through time. we are living in thrilling times indeed. The head of gold was the Babylonian world power
The breasts and arms of silver represent the Medo-Persian world power, which toppled Babylon from its superior position in 539 B.C
the third world power was that of Greece. Thus the belly and thighs of copper represent the Macedonian or Grecian world power.
Daniel continued his explanation of the dream image: "As for the fourth kingdom [after Babylon, Medo-Persia, and Greece], it will prove to be strong like iron. Forasmuch as iron is crushing and grinding everything else, so, like iron that shatters, it will crush and shatter even all these." (Daniel 2:40) In its strength and ability to crush, this world power would be like iron—stronger than the empires represented by gold, silver, or copper. The Roman Empire was such a power.
The iron legs of Nebuchadnezzar’s dream image pictured not only the Roman Empire but also its political outgrowth. Consider these words recorded at Revelation 17:10: "There are seven kings: five have fallen, one is, the other has not yet arrived, but when he does arrive he must remain a short while." When the apostle John penned these words, he was being held in exile by the Romans, on the isle of Patmos. The five fallen kings, or world powers, were Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Medo-Persia, and Greece. The sixth—the Roman Empire—was still in power. But it also was to fall, and the seventh king would arise from one of Rome’s captured territories. What world power would that be?
Britain was once a northwestern part of the Roman Empire. But by the year 1763, it had become the British Empire—the Britannia that ruled the seven seas. By 1776 its 13 American colonies had declared their independence in order to set up the United States of America. In later years, however, Britain and the United States became partners in both war and peace. Thus, the Anglo-American combination came into existence as the seventh world power of Bible prophecy. Like the Roman Empire, it has proved to be "strong like iron," exercising ironlike authority. The iron legs of the dream image thus include both the Roman Empire and the Anglo-American dual world power.
Daniel next told Nebuchadnezzar: "Whereas you beheld the feet and the toes to be partly of molded clay of a potter and partly of iron, the kingdom itself will prove to be divided, but somewhat of the hardness of iron will prove to be in it, forasmuch as you beheld the iron mixed with moist clay. And as for the toes of the feet being partly of iron and partly of molded clay, the kingdom will partly prove to be strong and will partly prove to be fragile. Whereas you beheld iron mixed with moist clay, they will come to be mixed with the offspring of mankind; but they will not prove to be sticking together, this one to that one, just as iron is not mixing with molded clay."—Daniel 2:41-43.
The succession of world powers represented by the various parts of the image in Nebuchadnezzar’s dream began with the head and extended down to the feet. Logically, the feet and toes of "iron mixed with moist clay" would symbolize the final manifestation of human rule that would exist during "the time of the end."—Daniel 12:4.
Now that we are in "the time of the end," we have reached the feet of the image. Some of the governments pictured by the image’s feet and toes of iron mixed with clay are ironlike—authoritarian or tyrannical. Others are claylike. In what way? Daniel associated the clay with "the offspring of mankind." (Daniel 2:43) Despite the fragile nature of clay, of which the offspring of mankind are made, traditional ironlike rulerships have been obliged to listen more and more to the common people, who want their say in the governments ruling over them. (Job 10:9) But there is no sticking together of authoritarian rule and the common people—no more than there could be a uniting of iron with clay. At the time of the image’s demise, the world will indeed be politically fragmented!

We have to wtch for the secret societies, these religions are part of the New World Order. I mean the Bildeburgers, the Adam Smith Institute who boss governments around, Freesanonry, Antidiluvian order of Buffaloes, Rosicrucians, Skull and Bones. All linking into the Illuminati. In the last days the 666 is now likely to be a skin inplant. The EU have already got these ready and 8000 pieces of information will bew available on every human in the world on the Eu super computer. The Bible tells us if you take it your doomed with no way back. However, you could get out by being caught up with the Lord Jesus prior to His return 7 years later. This is standard Biblical belief.

Immanent parousia has always been part of the Christian mind set. Even in Paul's day, some believers were refusing to work and contribute, because they thought Christ was returning very, very soon. Nothing has changed, nothing is new.

Funny, everyone's been talking about the "end times" for so long, I wonder if it will ever actually happen.

it has all ready happened, we have been living in the time of the end since 1914 , the end times are here right now, 2 TIMOTHY 3;1
But know this, that in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here. 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, self-assuming, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal, 3 having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness, 4 betrayers, headstrong, puffed up [with pride], lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godly devotion but proving false to its power; and from these turn away..............

Funny how Jesus' followers didn't think their own generation would pass before His return, and yet, here I sit, typing away 2,000 years later. Wake up folks.

every thing came to pass just as Jesus said it would , the system of things back then came to its end , the jewish system of things in 70 c.e came to its end, that was the litral fullfillment back then . but NOW there is a major fullfillment of this system of things coming to its end . yes we are living inamongst a generation of people who do not recognize the signs of Jesus presence in kingdom power . Jesus presence in kingdom power has been with us since 1914 , when he was made king of Gods heavenly kingdom goverment. make no mistake about it , the last days are here NOW. when Jesus steps into the affairs of man he will bring peace to the earth

Jesus is definantly coming, but "no one knows the day or hour". He could be coming in twenty minutes, twenty years, or twenty centuries. All that I know is that I better be ready when He gets here.

These are the usual verses cited:

Ezekiel 4:6 And when thou hast accomplished them, lie again on thy right side, and thou shalt bear the iniquity of the house of Judah forty days: I have appointed thee each day for a year.

Numbers 14:34 After the number of the days in which ye searched the land, even forty days, each day for a year, shall ye bear your iniquities, even forty years, and ye shall know my breach of promise.

In addition, there is a derivation which comes mainly from Genesis that indicates a "prophetic" year is composed of 12 months of 30 days, for a total of 360 days/prophetic year.

The math gets really fun at times. :)

On the basis of Numbers 14:34 and Ezekiel 4:6, which speak of "a day for a year," the "seven times" would cover 2,520 years. the bible always interpets itself
