Hej peeps ^^, (and jup, especially you Italian peeps out there!)

Would someone please take some time out of their daily schedule and help me very much by translating this beautiful song (Le traiettorie delle mongolfiere) that I have been addicted to since the first time that I heard it; 2 days ago. The language, the tempo, the guitar.. everything is just so pretty and perfect ;-;

I have found a translation online but didn't really feel like that translation (combined with the level of used English) brought the song's message across and explained what it was really about. Of course google translate is also an option.. but even though that has been improved significantly over the last few years I still prefer a human doing it .-.

Grazie mille ^_^ :cookie:

Lyrics:

Lasciano tracce impercettibili
oppure sono sempre state lì
senza legami, colorate e immobili
così

anche noi, anche noi
con gli occhi controvento al cielo
abbiamo cercato e perso
le tracce del loro volo
dentro le nuvole del pomeriggio
nei pomeriggi delle città
ma chissà dove é incominciato tutto
chissà

anche noi, anche noi
con le mani puntate al cielo
abbiamo inseguito e perso
le tracce del loro volo

anche noi, anche noi
nelle nuvole del pomeriggio
nei pomeriggi delle città
ma chissà dove é incominciato tutto
chissà

It means "The Trajectories of the Balloons". Now just don't ask me what that means. Here's the full translation:

"Leave traces imperceptible the trajectories of the balloons and the man who oversees the sky does not dissolve the flight skein and no longer distinguishes the beginning when matches are above the moorings and ballast are games removed from its moorings and ballast They departed looking at them are almost motionless full moons against the clear sky and the man who oversees Now it is no longer safe if they truly have never matches or you have always been there without ties , colorful and real estate so we too , we too with eyes against the wind to the sky we sought and lost the traces of their flight in the afternoon clouds in city afternoons but who knows where everything is started who knows we too , we too with his hands to the sky bets we chased and lost the traces of their flight we too , we too in the afternoon clouds in city afternoons but who knows where everything is started who knows"

Leave traces imperceptible
the trajectories of the balloons
and the man who oversees the sky
does not dissolve the flight skein
and no longer distinguishes the beginning
when matches are
above the moorings and ballast are games
removed from its moorings and ballast
They departed
looking at them are almost motionless
full moons against the clear sky
and the man who oversees
Now it is no longer safe
if they truly have never matches
or you have always been there
without ties, colorful and real estate
so

we too, we too
with eyes against the wind to the sky
we sought and lost
the traces of their flight
in the afternoon clouds
in city afternoons
but who knows where everything is started
who knows

we too, we too
with his hands to the sky bets
we chased and lost
the traces of their flight

we too, we too
in the afternoon clouds
in city afternoons
but who knows where everything is started
who knows

Lol...I guess I can't wriggle out of it:) ...lol...joking...it's a pleasure.

Hot air balloons trajectories leave imperceptible trails
and the man who gazes at the sky cannot unknot the trails tangle*
and he cannot find their point of departure any more, since they left.
They left over moorings and ballast weights.
They left after dropping moorings and ballast weights.
They almost look motionless,
they look like full moons in the daylight.
And the man who watches them cannot figure out any more
whether they really left or have always been there, with no strings, colorful and motionless.

We too, gazing at the sky, sought and then lost the traces of their flight,
among the afternoon clouds, in town afternoons
I wonder where it all started...who knows
We too, pointing our hands to the sky
chased and then lost the traces of their flight.
We did too, among the afternoon clouds, in town afternoons
I wonder where it all started...who knows

* the singer compares the intricate trails to a tangle to undo
