Sage, rosemary, and thyme are all hardy perennials that do well here. (especially rosemary.) You can pretty much plant them and let them have at it, and they will be around for years to grace your kitchen.

Lamiaceae are all Mediteranean plants.
You can see very wild hills and limestone cliffs where sage, thyme and oregano grow spontaneously. And in Summer the good smell of these plants is so intense, because of the heat.

I'm growing 100 sets of onions this year.

I'll be sharing a lot with the neighbors.

A friend called in this morning with a bunch of her first white asparagus. Just enough for lunch time asparagus soup and vegies with dinner

I exchanged for a cup of my best coffee ;-)
