It is bitterly cold outside, but this from the Times of Israel brings some warmth …
    Good stuff.

I agree, it is good to see people extend human compassion to others who are suffering.

While reading the article, I was wondering if the arabs would accept the supplies if they knew that they came from Israel. The last paragraph answered that question...they wouldn't.

I'm glad I lived to hear such news. I always tell people to never judge others simply for their ethnicity and religion. I myself once hated Christians and Jews and realized later on that I was in grave mistake. I owe them an apology.

They in the passage don't represent all Arabs, but themselves only. If someone helps me sincerely I'd accept it with utmost gratitude no matter who they are.

I'm a Saudi Arab Muslim and I just said the above, believing in it.

I read it wrong. The "they" in the article are the three Israeli organizations (Hanoar Haoved Vehalomed, Dror-Israel, and Israeli Flying Aid) that have organized this. The article doesn't say that arabs will reject Israeli humanitarian aid, rather it says that the Israeli group voluntarily removed Hebrew lettering from the aid.

Its a wonderful story; hopefully the compassion and generosity that these children have displayed will influence the society around them to be likewise.

Enemy of the enemy is the friend. Right?
It is interesting they don't do it for displaced Lebanese and Palestinian Muslims and Christians who suffer from the invasions, ongoing settlements by the zionist entity.

The aid mentioned in the OP came from kids. I have no doubt that it was given with sincere intentions and, more importantly, that those children are certainly not the "enemy" of anyone.

The beauty of such aid is that it is apolitical; trying to politicize it only serves to hinder any potential for future peace.

What a wonderful thing. God bless them.

A reminder that children aren't born with racial and religious prejudices ...
Now, if only the adults could find the same compassion and common humanity within themselves...

A fine post, dear Jayhawker Soule.

Refugees aren't "injured terrorists." Dehumanizing them does nothing to bolster your argument either.

Actually, I'm inclined to believe that there are kids who are better than their parents and many other adults. Hopefully we'll see more peace when they grow up and take charge of things instead of their parents.

    I am saying, the kids don't act themselves, just like these jewish kids who signed boms that landed in Lebanon killing Muslims and Christians;

the main point is they are not encouraging these kids to help Palestinians and Lebanese people.. They just encourage them to help Syrian refugees, for they MIGHT be used against Syrian government in the future.. It is politics.. If it were a sincere, humanitarian encouraging of the kids to help refugee muslims, why has it never occured on displaced Palestiniand and Lebanese people? Why are still zionists settlements going on in Palestine? Does not that make more displaced people and refugees? this is a joke. Someone assumes people have no brains at all. Invade lands, displace nations (and that includes Jordan Valley Village last week, just last week) and 'support' some refugess of the conflicts in the only Arab country that stands against your crimes, for you might use them in the future, and portray this as a humanitarian aid. God bless! lol

Nice to see members dehumanize Syrian children as 'rebels' or 'terrorists'. Human depravity has no limits.
As for aid to Palestinians or even Lebanese, Palestinians are regularly treated in Israeli hospitals. More than that, there are people from countries such as Iraq who are welcomed in Israeli hospitals for complicated medical conditions which cannot be treated in their own countries. How inspiring to see RF members dehumanize sick people and medical staff for doing everyday humane acts and to exploit them for political demonization.
