US has been putting up bases near Russia over since Soviet Union collapsed and Russia is now putting up a base near US which could assure MAD. Quite natural for countries that prepare for the other now that the Nuclear Arms race is back with Trump's withdrawal from the disarmament treaty.

Russia is behind as well. The U.S. is unstoppable.
If you forgot, there the button that will make the Northern Hemisphere a bunch of radioactive ruins taking out US, Europe and Russia. It will propably be near hell for the rest of the planet also if that ever happens...

US government has been claiming Russian violation well back to Bush Jr years. Russia has likewise claimed US violations. Previous administration have also had issues as China and other developing nations are not part to such a treaty. If neither party are honoring the treaty why keep it around as facade? If other nations can developed their weapons with no restriction the treaty handicaps the US.

China, does no war games and would be an absolute disaster. Their numbers would be meaningless.

That is exactly what the Germans thought when they attacked Russia with vastly superior numbers and weapons. They lost in spectacular fashion. Russian tanks were very basic but ideal in the conditions, but also repairable in the field by their own crews, who had built them. Russians like the Turks and Afghans have always been hard to conquer.

No one knows how the modern Fleet, based on Aircraft carriers, will cope against modern weaponry, as they have never been tested. It is likely that they will be susceptible to guided missiles from submarines and space. I suspect that in the event of a major war, they would be withdrawn to port like the giant battleships were. Their major use is supporting local firefights.

It seems Trump intends to reduce Americas role as an international police force, That is what he has said anyway.
However the American forces are balanced and armed for exactly that role. So it would be far less effective in a major war situation against Russia or China.

What? Me worry?
Russia's military manpower is about a 1.5 million higher than the US; in service and reserve. Russia can also conscript while the US not longer does. China has about 600k more soldiers than the US and can conscript. Equipment numbers are easy to distort due to the US requiring a vast supply and logistics to maintain it's hegemony. The US does edge out in numbers for combat equipment in most fields but the disparity isn't great outside a few specifics for land. Tech is favours America against both. The naval disparity is the major factor which limits China and Russia to defensive strategies outside of nukes. The world's oceans are American's swimming pool.

Manpower is really irrelevant in the face of tactical nuclear and conventional smart weapons. The US has platforms for delivery all over the world that are a strong deterrent to state sponsored attacks. And the US still has conscription, it's just not being used at the moment (young men still have to register at 18).

Note that trans men are exempt from registering.
Now, for an entertaining accidental nuclear war.....

Unstoppable? In recent years (since Ww2) the US has a very poor record of resolving conflict without help from other nations.

Trump will need courage to defy the several Soros & Rothschilds...or else our preference towards Putin will turn the Mediterranean into a Russian lake
