According to a news source last night, we have had 57 times the number of mass shootings done in all of the industrialized countries over the last 20 years.

Ok the idiocy of your comparison aside, countries like the UK, and Australia that introduced strict gun laws after mass shootings, have hardly any gun crime. The US by comparison has some of the highest gun crime rates in the world.
Like North Korea or Communist China?

Nope, but then you knew that before you posted this false equivalence fallacy. Anything of value to offer?

No, like the UK and Australia. And Canada, and most of Europe.

One should learn to read at least to a basic level, (see emboldened red above) before responding with such an idiotic straw man. However since you have disingenuously dug up an 11 year old news report, here are the latest mass shootings of children in the US one from just 3 days ago.

"‘When will this end?’: rage over US gun violence after second mass shooting in 10 days"
"The second US mass shooting in 10 days, which left 18 young children and three adults dead at a Texas elementary school on Tuesday, led to an outpouring of disbelief and potent rage at America’s persistent failure to tackle its epidemic of gun violence."

Firearms deaths are a fixture in American life.

There were 1.5 million of them between 1968 and 2017 - that's higher than the number of soldiers killed in every US conflict since the American War for Independence in 1775.

In 2020 alone, more than 45,000 Americans died at the end of a barrel of a gun, whether by homicide or suicide, more than any other year on record. The figure represents a 25% increase from five years prior, and a 43% increase from 2010.

How many guns are there in the US?
While calculating the number of guns in private hands around the world is difficult, figures from the Small Arms Survey - a Swiss-based leading research project - estimate that there were 390 million guns in circulation in 2018.
