Numbers 24: 17, "A king, like a bright star, will arise in that Nation. Like a comet he will come from Israel. He will strike the leaders of Moab and beat down all the people of Seth. He will conquer his enemies in Edom and make their land his property. While Israel continues victorious. The Nation of Israel will trample them down and wipe out the last survivors."

Fair dinkum girly? When did the nation of Israel wipe out the last survivors of the land of Edom, and made their land the property of the Lord?

Wake up to yourself girl, you're talking rubbish as usual.

That's about King Saul. Hundreds of years later Hasmoneans forced conversion upon the Idumeans in the south.

Nope it doesn't.. Queen Berneice of Jerusalem was a descendant of Herod.

    Meanwhile, concerning King Saul:

MILITARY BATTLES DURING THE REIGN OF SAUL

MILITARY BATTLES DURING THE REIGN OF SAUL. Saul consolidated his rule over Israel and made war on all his enemies on all fronts: on Moab, the Ammonites, Edom, the king of Zobah and the Philistines; whichever way he turned, he was victorious. He did great deeds of valor; he defeated the Amalekites and delivered Israel from those who used to pillage him. 1 Samuel 14:47-48.

Preface to the Revelation of St. John (1522) 7 by Martin Luther

About this book of the Revelation of John, I leave everyone free to hold his own opinions. I would not have anyone bound to my opinion or judgment.

I say what I feel. I miss more than one thing in this book, and it makes me consider it to be neither apostolic nor prophetic.

We all realise that you are incapable of comprehending anything that you read, but you do realise that that Numbers 24: 17; is referring to a future event as spoken by the prophet Balaam, when Israel, with the Lord's help, will fight against those nations who attempt to drive them into the sea, and He [The Lord] will strike the leaders of Moab and beat down all the people of Seth. He will conquer his enemies in Edom and make their land his property. While Israel continues victorious. The Nation of Israel will trample them down and wipe out the last survivors."

You are certainly lacking in the ability to comprehend the written word, aren't you?

    @ the anointed

The book of numbers is largely Narrative History as far as its genre. . Key personalities include Moses, Aaron, Miriam, Joshua, Caleb, Eleazar, Korah, and Balaam. The purpose of the book of Numbers is to tell about how Israel prepared to enter the promise land, but sinned and was punished.

It is the history of the Israelite shepherd kings after they had left Egypt in 1567 B.C., in which the key personalities include Moses, Aaron, Miriam, Joshua, Caleb the adopted son of Moses, Eleazar, Korah, and Balaam the prophet, who revealed to Balak, what the Israelites would do to his people in the latter days, see verse 14.

We are not yet in the latter days, as the prophet Balaam said in verse 17; "I see him, but not now. I behold him, but not nigh." When a king like a bright star will arise in Israel. Like a comet he will come from Israel. He will strike the leaders of Moab, and beat down all the people of Seth. He will conquer his enemies in Edom and make their land his property, while Israel continues victorious. The nation of Israel will trample them down and wipe out the last survivors.

A star out of Jacob refers to King David.. an anointed warrior king. David, a king of Israel, was descended from Jacob's son Judah.

What did you think it meant?

What is the meaning of this text?

Is it a reference to King David or the Messiah, or a double meaning?

Rabbi Moses ben Maimon suggests the latter:

I shall see him, but not now. This is David - I shall behold him, but not nigh. This is the king Messiah - A Star shall come out of Jacob. This is David - And a Sceptre shall rise out of Israel.

This is the king Messiah - And shall smite the corners of Moab. This is David, (as it is written, 2 Samuel 8:2 : And he smote Moab, casting them down to the ground) - And shall destroy all the children of Sheth. This is the king Messiah, of whom it is written, (Psalm 72:8), He shall have dominion from sea to sea.

May he who is without sin cast the first stone. Peace of mind (air) is the substance that encurs the rapture.

Yes, it seems funny at first. But, if you believe there is a coming Rapture, and you love your pets, it becomes serious. And that’s what we are – serious about the safety and care of your pets, as well as your peace of mind. Here’s where our story lead from there:

I don't think you even believe that King David ever existed. But if you were able to comprehend the bible, which you CLAIM to have read seven times, You would have asked the question; if David had conquered his enemies in Edom and made their land his property, while his Israelite forces continued victorious: and the nation of Israel trampled them down and wiped out the Last survivors: 'Why did Isaiah, who appeared long after the reign of Kind David feel it necessary to speak of a future Messiah, who was to save his chosen people and destroy completely the inhabitant of the Edom and other nations.

Isaiah 63: 1-6, "Who is this coming from the city of Bozrah in Edom? Who is this so splendidly dressed in red, marching along in power and strength?" It is the Lord, powerful to save, coming to announce his victory. "Why is his clothing so red, like that of a man who tramples grapes to make wine?"

The Lord answers, "I have trampled the nations like grapes and no one came to help me. I trampled them in my anger, and their blood has stained all my clothing. I DECIDED THAT THE TIME TO SAVE MY PEOPLE HAD COME; it was time to punish their enemies.

I was amazed when I looked and saw that there was no one to help me. But my anger made me strong, and I won the victory myself. In my anger I trampled whole nations and shattered them, I poured out their life’s blood on the earth."

Realising that you have proven time and time again, that you are incapable of comprehending anything you read, we must continue to reject all your coping and pastings.

Isaiah lived long after King David.

The prophet Isaiah lived in the eighth and early seventh centuries BC. He was from Jerusalem and began his ministry in 740 BC, the year of King Uzziah’s death.

The Book of Isaiah was written by two, and possibly three different authors over a period of more than a hundred years.

The writings were probably separate at first, being later consolidated into a single scroll.

Isaiah, son of Amoz, also known as First Isaiah or I Isaiah, wrote most of chapters 1-39 during the eighth century BCE, in the reigns of Kings Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz and Hezekiah of Judah.

Second Isaiah wrote in the sixth century BCE during the Babylonian Exile.

Third Isaiah wrote immediately following the Return from Exile.

Tradition places his lifetime in the 7th century BCE. Isaiah's opening statement in the Book of Isaiah, that he lived during the reigns of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz and Hezekiah, means that he actually lived in the eighth century BCE.

Second Isaiah, the anonymous author who added several further chapters to the Book of Isaiah, lived during the sixth century BCE and the time of the Babylonian Exile.

A further anonymous source for the final chapters of the Book of Isaiah, now known as Third Isaiah, lived shortly after the Babylonian Exile.

First tribulation. For there are few that follow his original teachings, and he comes again to correct and many will not believe and they will fight against the true believers.

Religion has caused more strife in this world than peace.

This is a lie made up by the powers that be, who are the real culprits of wars...

Never have religions instigated wars, they've been fought in the name of religious labels; yet it is the leaders who sent their people to die.

We should be blaming governments, and not some of the religions, which have led to more unification of society.

    In my opinion. :innocent:

According to the Bible the elect who accept the teachings (Revelation 6:9-11), have been removed from down here near Hell.

So the final battle (Armageddon) is the end of life on earth, and then God steps in to fix reality.

    In my opinion. :innocent:
