Is the Jim Rome show a soap opera for sports ?

My co-worker listens to this guy all the time. He talks about the world of sports and is very dramatic in his presentation. Drama is on the menu everyday. I was wondering do any of you listen to this guy and if so why? Why do you think others are attracted to his show? Do you see it as I do, as a soap opera for sports fans?
