How could the kingdom to come of Daniel 2:44 already be here when it has Not yet happened.
We are now nearing the time of that HUGE political statue's toes (perhaps more like the 'time of the toenails') as per Daniel 2:42-43.

I find Matthew 16:27-28 along with Mark and Luke is connected to the future coming glory time of Matthew 25:31-33.
Right after chapter 16 of Matthew ends chapter 17 begins, and if we continue reading to Matthew 17:9 please notice the transfiguration vision was a VISION and Not a resurrection. A vision of Jesus future coming glory time.

The Kingdom in Daniel 2 already happened, it's ancient history, older then the New Testament, Since it is depicting the rise of the Persian Empire, Daniel was in the household of Nebuchadnezzar II interpreting his dreams , retold in the Book of Genesis with Joseph interpreting the dreams of Pharaoh Anonymous.

Old Testament is just too difficult for Christians too understand.

That of Daniel 2:44 is future, when God's kingdom comes down out of heaven.after the Tribulation and not before.

Look the transfiguration of Moses and Elijah, that Peter, James and John saw was Moses and Elijah in the Spirit.

What do you mean, Old Testament is just too difficult for Christians to understand.

That is because "The natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness unto him, neither can he know them, because they are Spiritually discerned"
    1 Cor 2:14.

Look the Bible is all two folded.
This means, When you read the words of the bible this is the letter of the word, that your reading.
The Spirit of the word of the bible.is what the natural man can not receive, for they are Spiritually discerned by the Spirit of God.
In the book of Mark 13 Christ Jesus gives what the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is, and when it will happen and who can commit it.
Now remember this is will be Spiritually discerned by the Spirit of God. Can you hear and see what the Spirit of God is saying in Mark 13 ?

I disagree. The kingdoms represented by the various body parts of Nebuchadnezzar's dream image were yet future. They are not representative of all the kingdoms who have ever ruled, but those who had interactions with God's people. Daniel told Nebuchadnezzar that the Babylonian Empire was represented by the head of gold. It was overthrown by the Medo-Persians, (represented by the silver) followed by the conquest of Alexander the Great representing Greece. (the copper) Rome was the next conqueror (iron) followed by Britain who allied herself with the USA (representing the feet and toes) These are the last ruling "kings" in Daniel's vision. It is in the days of "those kings" that God will set up his kingdom which Daniel said would "crush all these kingdoms" and replace them. That means that we are living in the last days of this present world system.

The question that is more important than "who will inherit the kingdom"...is "WHAT is God's Kingdom and what will it accomplish when it "comes" to take over control of the earth?"....Jesus said it was "good news"!

According to scripture, God has already chosen "who" will rule in that kingdom but their subjects will be humans on earth.
In the Revelation John sees Jesus and his "bride" bringing their rulership from heaven to this earth. (Revelation 21:1-4) This agrees with Jesus words..."the meek shall inherit the earth".

Anyone can inherit the kingdom by abiding by the laws of God and the teachings of Jesus Christ. But mere "belief" is not enough, as Jesus said, those whom he deems to be "sheep" are "doing the will of the Father" so it means having faith in Jesus sacrifice as well as having works to back up your faith. As James said, you can't have one without the other....
    18-
    James 2:18-26:
"....someone will say: “You have faith, and I have works. Show me your faith without the works, and I will show you my faith by my works.19 You believe that there is one God, do you? You are doing quite well. And yet the demons believe and shudder.....You see that a man is to be declared righteous by works and not by faith alone.....Indeed, just as the body without spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead."

The Bible is not hard to understand at all.....it just depends on who is teaching it correctly. [IMG]

The Book of Daniel is not the New Testament, but the Book of Revelation simply retells the story of King Cyrus toppling Babylon , drying up the Euphrates and restoring the ruined Cities.

You also don't understand any ancient history, unaware that the King of Babylon was titled 'King of Four Quarters' , King of the Four Cardinal countries of Babylon hence the Four Beasts, or Four Corners.

    Daniel 2:44
And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom

Kingdom for these Kings , it does not say 'Kingdom of God' , as if 'God' was a King of a Kingdom, but Cyrus was a God-King-Christ (Κύρῳ - κύριος - χριστῷ )

In Revelation John prays for His return. John is more reliable than you are.

    Revelation 14:8
    - Babylon is fallen

Babylon fell in 539 BCE , when it was usurped by King Cyrus, called Christ in Isaiah 45:1.

    Isaiah 71:1
Come down, and sit in the dust, O virgin daughter of Babylon, sit on the ground: there is no throne, O daughter of the Chaldeans: for thou shalt no more be called tender and delicate.

It was pictorial of what would happen to "Babylon the great" (Revelation 18:4-5).....that is satan's world empire of false religion. The waters that dry up are the people leaving her in droves. Why do you think there is talk of banning all religion right now?

Daniel's prophesies were sealed up until "the time of the end" (Daniel 12:4; 9-10) This is "the time of the end" right now. Only now would his words be understood.

    According to Daniel.....
    Daniel 2:44:
In the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed. And this kingdom will not be passed on to any other people. It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it alone will stand forever."

The Kingdom will destroy all other rulerships and replace them, continuing to rule mankind "forever". This has not happened in the past....I believe that this is about to take place in the near future.

Jesus taught us to pray for God's kingdom to "come" so that his will could be "done on earth as it is in heaven".

God can use whomever he wishes to fulfill his purpose....even his enemies. I believe that you have it all backwards. o_O

The context of the Book of Daniel is the transition of power, from Babylon to Persia, this happened around 539 BCE

    Daniel 2:48
Then the king made Daniel a great man, and gave him many great gifts, and made him ruler over the whole province of Babylon
    .
    Genesis 41:43
Bow the knee: and he made him(Joseph) ruler over all the land of Egypt.

    Typology, this is myth making.

The Bible is quite clear on nearly all areas you ask about. But, much is not clearly understood by the majority.

The kingdom of heaven is not in heaven, but it will be on earth ruled by rulers from heaven - thus, its name:
Ps 72: 7 In his days shall the righteous flourish, and abundance of peace till the moon be no more. 8 And he shall have dominion from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth. 9 The dwellers in the desert shall bow before him, and his enemies shall lick the dust. (Please read all of Psalm 72 yourself)
    Dan 7:
. 13 I saw in the night visions, and behold, there came with the clouds of heaven one like a son of man, and he came up even to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. 14 And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.
18 But the saints of the most high places shall receive the kingdom, and they shall possess the kingdom for ever, even to the ages of ages.
    Time of transition
After Armageddon, there will be a Great Crowd who survived this; there shall also begin resurrections of the righteous and the unrighteous, but not the wicked.
the unrighteous: consists of all those who did not get judged wicked but who were neither Jews, nor Christian and didn't know these or didn't know about the Bible God and Christ. This includes all from the time of Adam to the present.
As we are told, even now in the world, there may be those who are permitted, though not Christian, to be given this chance to serve God
the righteous: consists of those who were Jews of ancient Israel, perhaps even some Jews from the present if they are lucky, and Christians who do what they can to live in Christ holy lives.

This happens during the 1000 years of rule by Christ. Once satan is let out of prison, everyone on earth gets tested and many fail. Those who fail will be destroyed forever together with satan and his angels.

All humans sin, even those who do their best to live holy lives in Christ. The difference between sin and being damned for sinning is 'the practice of deliberate serious sin.'

Moses was buried by God, no one ever saw the body of Moses after he died,

Deuteronomy 34:6 (ESV Strong's) 6 and he buried him in the valley in the land of Moab opposite Beth-peor; but no one knows the place of his burial to this day.

Elijah was taken away by God,

Hebrews 11:5 (ESV Strong's) 5 By faith Enoch was taken up so that he should not see death, and he was not found, because God had taken him. Now before he was taken he was commended as having pleased God.

Then it was these 2 men that appeared with Jesus at the transfiguration, coincidence or.......?

And apparently more than yourself, John didn't pray for the Kingdom to come!
