Is the NT (prophecies) basically a compilation of the OT ideas?

Bishadi,
It is truer that the Hebrew Scriptures provide a KEY to understanding the Greek Scriptures. Many of the things prophesied in the Hebrew Scriptures find the fulfillment in the Greek Scriptures.
The fact is; all the Hebrew Scriptures were a forshadowing of the coming of the Messiah, and the things he would do so we could gain salvation through the undeserved kindness of God, based of the Ransom Sacrifice of God's only begotten son, Matt 20:20, John 3:16, Eph 1:7, 1John 2:1,2.
There is a branch of Theology called Typology, which tries to determine exactly what TYPES in the Hebrew Scriptures picture the ANTITYPES in the Greek Scriptures.
Another branch called Tropology seeks to determine when a scripture is literal of is figurative.
Each of these are very important for an accurrate understanding of God's word.

NT is not a compilation of OT. NT is a continuation of OT. You need to know what happened in the beginning to fully understand how our time on earth will end. Dragon, serpent, the beast, most unclean, death, Baal, king of tyre, prince of darkness, and countless other names of Satan in OT. Most of which point to the Anti-Christ in revelations.
