All the things you call " folklore " is in the Bible too.
When Enoch writes about giants, it must be wrong. But if the Bible writes about the giants then it is not a problem. And that even Jude quotes from the book of Enoch, you ignore.

There weren't any giants. Older folklore claims Adam and Eve were 90 feet tall.

The Bible is didactic literature.. Its not history or science. Its poems and legends .. and teaching narrative … morality tales.. The ancient Jews were smart enough to know that. Your expectations are too much. Are you a fundamentalist?
