Is it really that hard to wear a mask?

Obviously if you have a medical condition......you are exempted.

For everyone else............how hard is it to wear a mask for the mere 30 or more minutes during your shopping experience while the retailers working are wearing a mask their entire shift or God forbid you are in a hospital where medical professionals have been wearing masks even before this pandemic........

    Just how hard is it?

    Answer: Not hard.

And by the way.........just because traffic is lighter, but now has increased, doesn't mean you can drive like your Richard Hammond!

Sorry..........just had to complain about something.

    All apologies to Richard Hammond.

    edit: Oh my God!

Its disheartening to see so many people just not caring. It's so bad, one douche at a store that requires masks, after he got in he took it off. Amd this guy was a Boomer, raised to put country first and do his part for a better America. A part of my upbringing included Rage Against the Machine and included it being a thing (due to pro wrestling achieving peaks of mainstream popularity) to tell people to suck it amd do a crotch chop. So, yeah, I don't know what people's problem is.
I know him from the UK Wipeout, so that is a pretty funny visual.

It's not hard and I'm a proponent of herd immunity.

I still wear my mask when I go to the store get food or when I'm at work at the appropriate times.

Even with heart disease and diabetes I'm still not going to blame people for not wearing masks. it's only because the virus is here to stay it's not going to go anywhere so eventually at some point everybody is going to run across it.

For me I just want to get it done and over with and if it's my last year or two of life, so be it. Even as a person in my condition the odds are still going to be in my favor regardless but I think it's just common courtesy to respect and think of other people who are more fearful and afraid.

let's put it this way if a whole bunch of people had masks I'd wear one, and if I walked into a room where people didn't have masks, I'd take mine off.

I can't decide for myself, I just wear one, as my governor currently has it a law that you have to wear one for now. I still see people out in public here without one, about 50 percent of people, but that doesn't mean I want to chance the law or think that others here In this state should.

If i walked into a room where people were not wearing masks, i would shake my head at their uncaring attitude to other human beings and exit the room.

What's the matter with you, don't you want to die a premature and horrible death? Stop being so selfish, stand up for freedom and your country.

I am not the consideration, I've lived a horrible period of my life that death seemed a great way out, my death is not a great concern.
What i am concerned about is how many i could possibly effect if i contracted CV19. And how many deaths i could cause.

As far as I can see unless you make a mask for your self they are unobtainable.
but then I do not go anywhere that there are people. I am age related self isolating.

Are you OK with the deaths that will result even with a low mortality rate of 0.1% of those infected (which could easily be 80% of the population before it subsides.)

The current US population is 331 million. 80% of that is 265 million. 0.1% of 265 million is 265 thousand American dead to Covid 19. Just the cost of doing business/freedom eh?

We had that problem until the Mairie (local council) stepped in and mobilised several people with experience in sewing to make enough masks to medical spec for the whole village.

..and the unneccesary risk to over-stretched, stressed medical workers.
    It beggars belief.

Since my answer to your post my friend has contacted me, her mother has died of CV19 yesterday. The mother was in a care home suffering Alzheimer's, my friend visited every day, donned full protective clothing and double mask, (fabric nose mouth and a full face visor).

My friend is blaming herself (grief does that) and will continue to until the results of her test come back. And then, if she is clear of the virus she will at least no longer blame herself for her mother's death. If the results are positive the possibility that she killed her own mother will haunt her for the rest of her life.

I do not want the ones that attach to the ears, as I wear glasses and hearing aids. the sort that fix around the back of the head seem more difficult to get.

I wear glasses, masks that attach the my ears are no problem

I have friends with both glasses and hearing aids, and hubby has just started using hearing aids a few days ago. The masks that attach to the ears are not a big problem if you remember to prevent your hearing aid catapulting across the room when you remove the mask

    Or there are these

oh no, truly dreadful. My mum was in a care home with dementia, I'd hate to be in that position. My thoughts are with your friend. :heartpulse::heartpulse::heartpulse::heartpulse::heartpulse:
