You did between 1861 and 1870 when we, the South, were forced back into union and the Constitution was changed to fit the victors.

As I said, unified by the bayonet.

That was 150 years ago. There are no bayonets today. And you weren't really forced back in - never having gained official recognition as a state, Uncle Sam allowed the CSA the pomp and circumstances of going through the rituals and steps for reasons that were not actually needed. The CSA was nothing more than a blip of those fighting to preserve slavery after it had died out in much of the world.

So? That is the reason the South is part of this union. Bayonet.

What are you talking about 'never having gained official recognition as a state'? Do you mean 'never having gained official recognition as a state seceded from the Union'?

Uncle Sam went to war to bring the Southern States back into the Union. It didn't go to war to free any slaves. I have showed you that before, but you are like so many. You would rather believe the myth then the truth.

No one actually acknowledged or recognized the CSA as it's own independent, sovereign nation-state.

The North acknowledged our secession. That is why she invaded the South. Which means we were forced back into the Union by the bayonet.

If our secession was not acknowledged, why then all the dog and pony show to allow us back into the union once the war was over? If our secession was not acknowleged, why were we divided up into five military districts with no function as a state?

You really know nothing of that war. You have believed and breathed in the smoke they have been blowing up your backside all these years. And you and others wlll continue to breathe the smoke because it is what you want to believe.
