Even if you are a Christian and for whatever reason skeptical about evolution, no one ought to get their information from Kent Hovind, he doesn't have a Doctorial degree which is worth anything. He simply refer to himself as that, in hope of adding some credibility. The guy knows practical nothing about evolution at all.

If there were no creation story in the Bible for Hovind to defend then the discoveries of an old earth and evolution would make perfect sense to him. The earth doesnt look ANYTHING like the creation story in Genesis.

It would seem that God created life as we know it through the process of evolution.

The Israelites created the creation story of Genesis by appropriating Mesopotamian lore and for an Israelite audience.

Kent Hovind introduced you to Creationism. You accepted Creationism based on the words and teachings of known fraud. That doesn't say much for your critical thinking abilities.
